      I feel like this course is a great way to get a leg up on the competition. Mr Leoff states that most smaller organizations have well little familiarity with graphics. I feel as though in just this first chapter I have learned quite a bit about maybe the basics of graphics but over the course I will have adequate knowledge about the subject.     This site offers 110 suggestions made by actual bloggers on how to improve a blog! While a number of them cannot be applied to my course blog (I'm not collaborating with anyone else, for example), there was still plenty of relevant advice. Even though I am given the topics to cover, I can still let my own personality come through. This relates to the course outcome of performance; a blog needs to feel like it was written by a human being and not by a robot.  I could also start adding videos that contribute to my audience's understanding. I know that the sample rhetoric on the town assignment included a video of the advertisement the student had analyzed. Another good suggestion is to break up the paragraphs, which I try to do, or use bullet points. Another blogger suggests using subheads.

    Though this may seem like a 'gimme,' this site provides the very platform by which this course has become possible. With a professor and students scattered far and wide in location and schedule, this site is convincing evidence of the power of the virtual worlds referred to by Flew. I am unlikely to meet any of my fellow students in person during this course, but I know in advance that I will make new friends and get to know them. Being able to obtain a higher education in a virtual online world is an amazing use of technology.

    The anatomy of typeface has many different areas to it that include alignment, type, mood, size, weight and style, and how text is described when put on a line. All these things were covered in the chapter 10 and 11 reading for the week.

      In all honesty this course has introduced very unfamiliar terms. This site give a cited explanation of the definitions. A good example of hypermediacy was given through Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho how we see Norman's acts then Hitchcock puts us through Norman's eyes and its a question of how we react to that emotionally and mentally as viewers.

    I think an important part of part 2 of Team Writing is constructive conflict. I thought this website was useful because it provided the reader with the benefits of constructive conflict. I have taking a course called Organizational Behavior and they also stress that constructive conflict is important in a team. I also think it goes well with the team project we are working on now.

    This page is a study on the relationship between new social media (internet) and old (traditional press). It is interesting to see the comparison of the statistics. It clearly shows why new social media has revolutionized the social media world. Blogs, Twitter, etc change top stories every day. Traditional press can have the same story for weeks. Politics on blogs is prominent however the latest technology is the top ranked subject on new social media sites of course.

    Here are my four definitions I have found for Rhetoric: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/rhetoric -this provides a very basic & general definition of Rhetoric http://www.stanford.edu/dept/english/courses/sites/lunsford/pages/defs.htm -i found this web page interesting being that it shows the great minds of our people & how they used Rhetoric http://www.rpi.edu/dept/llc/webclass/web/project1/group4/index.html -this web page explains Aristotle view on Rhetoric but the interesting part is how Ethos, Pathos & Logos is used within the definition.

    So I took the training. I thought it was very informative however I have the basic free 3.0 version of Word press. I currently am not considering the purchase of a word press upgrade but it is required to facilitate some of the learning outcomes of this free course. There are allot of tips and tricks to be learned from Sandi Krakowski, she does a great job!

    This is actually appears to be an online textbook for a technical writing course. I found that the introduction and many of the examples/models were great tools in helping to understand chapter 1. Also, I think the page in itself is a great example of technical writing.
