    This site offers 110 suggestions made by actual bloggers on how to improve a blog! While a number of them cannot be applied to my course blog (I'm not collaborating with anyone else, for example), there was still plenty of relevant advice. Even though I am given the topics to cover, I can still let my own personality come through. This relates to the course outcome of performance; a blog needs to feel like it was written by a human being and not by a robot.  I could also start adding videos that contribute to my audience's understanding. I know that the sample rhetoric on the town assignment included a video of the advertisement the student had analyzed. Another good suggestion is to break up the paragraphs, which I try to do, or use bullet points. Another blogger suggests using subheads.

    All three websites both describe rhetoric as a persuasive and effective form of speech. The use of rhetoric is when you want a favorable outcome in your favor. Through logos, pathos, and ethos rhetorical persuasion is possible. One website goes into more depth than the other two about what logos, pathos, and ethos is. Logos is the use of induction, pathos is creating an emotional link, and ethos is being viewed as trustworthy. This website explains how it is better to be open minded and create shared opinions, because then both sides can have something to agree on if they both have different views on the main topic. The Webster definition describes how this style of communication is ancient and dates back to the 14th century. Rhetoric can be performed with both speaking and writing persuasively. Free dictionary explains how rhetoric is more about the end result and not so much the process getting there.

    This is a good article about the norms on a team work.  Each member of the team has to be committed to do their own part and pay attention to the content.  This article also includes how member should interact and it provides guidelines for the group to follow.

    So I took the training. I thought it was very informative however I have the basic free 3.0 version of Word press. I currently am not considering the purchase of a word press upgrade but it is required to facilitate some of the learning outcomes of this free course. There are allot of tips and tricks to be learned from Sandi Krakowski, she does a great job!

    This blog is a good resource for tips on making an impressionable resume video. It provides samples of good quality resumes and gives you specific tips on what to do and how to dress. It also has examples of poor tapes that seemed like it was a joke. Overall a great blog site with helpful hints.

    Video resumes are different than a Typical resume because you're actually the one in front of the camera and speaking about who you are and what you do. This is a lot different and I would say harder then writing your information on a piece of paper. But the advantages of this are they can see you for who you really are and not what's written on a piece of paper. A disadvantage of this is that you have to make sure you pin point your audience is and that can be difficult at times. When writing something on a paper it's easy to address certain people but when you are actually in front of someone or in front of a camera you have to work a little harder to present yourself in the right way.

    This website provides useful information about video resumes. I liked that it provided tips that will help us prepare when making a video resume. The tip I thought was important was making sure to keep the video short. It also provided a list of "don't"s. I like that it mentioned not to mix one's personal life with the professional one. I thought this was important especially because we are googling ourselves as part of our HW for Deadline #11.
