A new idea or unfamiliar fact will provoke a reflex to do something: to research the term, to query your screen “friends” for their opinions, to find alternative views, to create a bookmark, to interact with or tweet the thing rather than simply contemplate it.

  • In ancient times, authors often dictated their books. Dictation sounded like an uninterrupted series of letters, so scribes wrote down the letters in one long continuous string, justastheyoccurinspeech. Text was written without spaces between words until the 11th century. This continuous script made books hard to read, so only a few people were accomplished at reading them aloud to others. Being able to read silently to yourself was considered an amazing talent. Writing was an even rarer skill. In 15th-century Europe only one in 20 adult males could write.

Everyone is doing the same pose which shows that anyone can do yoga. Since only legs are shown and no faces or bodies, it implies that it doesn't matter what race, age, sex or athletic ability you are, anyone can participate in yoga and become a part of a community while getting healthier.

On a page that is full of black text on a white background our eyes are drawn to the saying which sticks out like a sore thumb on the web page. Also the swirly type text pulls in the reader, since the rest of the page has a standard text that is easy to read but not nearly as appealing. This quote changes everytime one opens the page, and it is also a part of the lululemon manifesto. These quotes appear on many pages of the site, and they are the attention grabing text on every page.

Breast self-examination, mammograms, testicular self-examination, and Pap smears are common screening methods for various cancers.

      The text that reads "Join Riot Games" is big, noticeable, and written weird. This could just be an add to attract new employees, but I think it's also a marketing tool. This add makes this company seem more like a locally owned business, rather than a big corporate giant, making people feel more comfortable around it. (text)

      Their logo is good, simple, and uses only two colors which is a good example of logo practice. However, the way it presents this logo in the website made it as a new logo because of the big line behind it and the clip-arts a long with it.

      The website colours are shades of green and white. The white is useful for contrast between the words and pictures making the words easy to read and pictures standout.       This appeals to logic beacause if some one is buying a morgan horse to breed or show, they would want a "well-bred" horse. And this site is saying that the horses bred in Alberta are sold in Canada and the United States. So if you want a horses they say you could get a good one from Alberta.

      All the pictures of the morgan horse doing different disciplines, shows and pleasure riding shows how the horse is verstatile. These pictures appeal to emotion because the rider who gets a morgan could use them for anything. And logic because they may want a hore that is willing to do whatever discipline they want to pursue.
