Speedy Check-In Lets Hotel Guests Bypass Front Desk - 1 views

  • The hospitality industry is moving toward more automated check-in systems
  • “Customers are used to A.T.M.’s at the bank instead of tellers, checking in for airplane flights online, and they are now looking for that same efficiency when they arrive at a hotel,” Mr. Craig said. “No one wants to wait in line for the front desk anymore.”
  • an upset customer posting to Twitter, Facebook or TripAdvisor can easily share bad impressions with a wide group of people.

  • automated check-in was also a plus for hoteliers who wanted to assign additional duties to the front desk staff. “When a guest checks in late at night and the same employee can make sure the check-in goes smoothly and also sell them something to eat,” he said, “the hotel has saved money on staffing, increased its revenue and increased customer satisfaction.”
  • The different check-in methods are meant to provide options for guests, not to supplant any,
  • “Leisure guests here for shopping, dining and culture may want the opportunity to talk with our front desk associates to get some quick recommendations, versus a person here on business who may prefer to check in though the Web or self-check-in kiosk,
  • welcoming, like coming to a friend’s house
  • remove the physical barriers between the guests and the staff
  • hides the technology but uses it to prepare for and personalize each check-in.
  • orientation takes place at the same time as check-in
  • “There’s a lot of preplanning, technology and communications going on behind the scenes, but humans are the most important part of hospitality, so we keep the technology parts hidden
  •
This article is giving the reader a look into the new check in procedures being implemented by hotels across the world. This "speedy check-in" allows for guests to by pass the traditional front desk check in and instead opt for check in via kiosks located in the lobby or even checking in before arrival. The automatic check in trend began as a way to relieve guests from having to wait in long lines when arriving at their hotel to check in . The option for speaking with front desk associates is still there but would rather serve as more of concierge, with suggestions on restaurants and questions regarding any leisure activities within the city or hotel itself. Some hotels are also taking the approach of personal greeters who approach the guest upon arrival, making the check in process more like a welcoming into a friends home. Overall I love the idea of being able to bypass hotel lines, especially during holidays when lines tend to get quite long or when arriving to a hotel fairly late in the night. Being able to arrive and head straight to the room allows for smoother check-ins and more efficient use of front desk associates. The personal greeters also provide more of an at home feeling. Guests can feel like they are personally being cared for as opposed to just being another occupied room.
  •
As we move into a technology focused society hotel needs to follow the trend of what travelers want and how to streamline using technology. This article describes how hotels are implimating kiosk in their lobbies to offer their guest a quick and easy way to check-in without having to make the line at the front desk. The hotels goal is to leave the "hotel embassador" and/or front desk for guests that have special requests or questions about their stay. They reference a hotel in Boston that has taken the electronic checkin a step further. They email the guests prior to arriving at the hotel two codes. The first code is to be used at the front door to enter the hotel, and the second code to enter into their hotel room keypad. They interviewed President and General Manager of NCR Corporation's travel business about these types of services. He stated that they offer travelers the same speed and quick services as ATM machines at banks or kiosks at the airport for quick checkin. He went on to say that they expect that type of service when traveling. Mr. Craig even touched on how a travelers feedback is even more important due to social media. One bad review can affect the hotel instantly after they tweet, post, etc. In the article they also interviewed Glenn Haussman, editor of the online trade magazine Hotel Interactive. He stated that with the use of the kiosk and express check-in the front desk staff can offer a more personal experience by doing other tasks. For example they mentioned a late check guest might want a snack or something to relax after a tough flight. By the staff not needing to check them in can go get the guest a coffee, or something to eat; this making the experience feeling more personal. The article states the Hyatt chain has implemented their kiosk in almost all their properties in major cities. They still offer a more traditional check-in as well. They went on to say some chains are using greeters with ipads to check guests in as they ente

The latest POS trends for restaurants - Restobiz - 0 views

  • The introduction of tablets has been truly disruptive, making it possible for restaurants of any size to afford a POS system.
  • The good news is that a tablet-based solution, in addition to being much less costly than a fixed hardware system, allows for either a stationary or mobile model. This offers much more flexibility to restaurant owners who may want to initially implement the POS with an iPad placed at reception or the counter and maybe another one at the server station.
  • “Dividing a bill used to take my wait staff up to 30 minutes,” says Tony Geer, co-owner of The Ledford House, a fine dining restaurant. “Now it takes them 30 seconds with TouchBistro, and they can pay a lot more attention to their customers.”
  • ...3 more annotations...
  • “When my server crashed on my old POS system, it was going to cost $8,000 to replace and update the system,” says Joe Magoonaugh, owner of The Ogden, a full-service dining room and bar. That’s when he decided to go with a new tablet-based system. “You don’t have to put $10,000 – $20,000 up front for a POS, and it is easy to get up and running.”
  • Some customers can experience “line anxiety” when people are waiting behind them to order, so they may pass over upsell options to place their orders quicker, or because the menus on the wall are confusing and hard to read. With a well-designed kiosk, line anxiety is eliminated, and placing an order is easy.
  • “Our average guest check through the kiosk is nearly two times the average placed with a waiter. Since it is so easy to add items on the kiosk, guests add avocado or bacon, and may also see other options to add to the order that they may not have seen on a paper menu,”
  •
The article discusses the numerous benefits of the self-order kiosk. Before, old iPads were used, but now, restaurants of any size can afford these kinds of devices. The article talks about a restaurant owner who were frustrated with an old POS system, who said that when his POS system crashed it costed him $8,000 to replace and update the system. But with the tablet-based system, you no longer need $10,000-20,000 up front for a POS system. The article also mentions the efficiencies boosted with the tablet-based system. For example dividing a bill used to take 30 minutes, now it takes 30 seconds. Also, some customers experience "line anxiety" when people are waiting in line for them to order, so they sometimes pass on the complex orders in favor of quick ones. But with the self-ordering system, customers are more likely to order complex options such as adding bacon or avocado. The article states that at one restaurant, the average guest check through the kiosk is nearly two times the average placed with a waiter. The restaurant can focus on service and the food, and less on the ordering and its accuracy.

Point of Sale Technology: New Developments - 1 views

  • help busy hotel staff use this new technology via a browser on any mobile device as well as the traditional POS interface. This means whilst they are on the move – or even away from the business – they can still keep on top of sales, bookings figures and cash management through Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • This NFC technology allows consumers to use mobile devices to process all their transactions, for instance by swiping their smartphone across a special kiosk at the counter, with all the information sent to a central processing system for payment
  •
From this article,I think it is amazing to have such revolution of POS system. First of all, POS system itself is wonderful for the hoteliers all these years. The latest i-trends and NFC put it much further step to not only free the employees, but also bring efficiency to the customers. It is said that "the point of sale on the move" which free the employee to use the mobile device to control everything it matters of the business. It makes hoteliers more flexiable and at the meanwhile, it provides quantity information. The other innovation here is that there is one IPAD POS kiosk which allows self-service card swiping system so the customers can complete their own transaction. Though this technology is the only IPad enclosure, it help eliminate theft and tampering. Then ,when the growing trend of Near Field Communication comes, it free the customers another further step to eliminate the necessity to carry money/credit cards to pay their bills. This technology is also come with the smartphone by just swiping the mobile device across a special kiosk at the counter, and the payment is done quickly. This technology also developed another growing technology "RFID" card readers. Another name for the NFC is the digital wallet means that a customer's device can store all their bank account details and credit card information with no need for a real wallet. That's amazing for the people who are not good at financing. This technology can really impact the hotel market and bring the competitive advantages for the hotels. It's a new trend for the hotel to update themselves to level-up. This trend is also fit the market nowadays, the consumer is more and more younger, they curious about the high-tech things, the success of Apple proves this trend. In order to meet with the customer needs in current hotel industry, this technology is worth to have a try.
  •
This article talks about the importance of POS systems in the hospitality industry and the new technological trends that are affecting it. POS systems are extremely important to hoteliers primarily to keep track of sales and bookings. With recent technological developments though, POS systems have revolutionized that hospitality industry by increase efficiency and production. The newest trend in these accounting and POS systems are cloud-based technologies. I believe this type of technology will allow for busy hotel managers to track all accounting information through either a smart phone, PC, or even tablet. This type of technology, as stated in the article, would allow for managers to keep track of sales data and profits even when they are away from the office. All in all, I believe this is a very helpful technology for hotel operations and will benefit the industry in the long run.
  •
Allow the customers to to use smartphone across a special kiosk at the counter to pay may benefit restaurants a lot. It may reduce the stress of the servers in the peak time. Customers no longer waiting a long time for the servers to get their bill, they can pay by themselves through mobile devices. Moreover, the customers do not need to bring their wallets to the restaurants which may improve the security of the restaurant environment.

What Decision Makers Need to Know About the Tech Takeover in Fast-Food Restaurants - My... - 0 views

  • he fast-food industry might see a major overhaul with robots and digital kiosks
  • Additionally, a decreased interest in obtaining a job in a fast-food restaurant, particularly serving, is a contributing factor to the current industry crisis
  • because of the high turnover rate.
  • ...2 more annotations...
  • Some restaurants are implementing kiosks in order to save money on other costs as the average cost of a fast-food meal increases, which is achieved by investing in automated services, and cutting back on employees
  • just because there is more technology usage in fast-food restaurants doesn’t mean it will fully take over. In fact, he says that technology and humans can work together to make a restaurant more profitable.
  •
This article states that one of the main reasons for digital kiosks in fast food places is because of a high turnover rate. A lot of fast food places are getting less applications and a higher turnover because of the low wages they offer and little room to grow. Some have no choice but to start using these because of the lack of employees. The article states that restaurants are also starting to use this type of technology to save money on other costs they may need to put forth money towards. But some do think this doesn't mean technology will take over. Some even believe it is a way we can work together as one to make more money for the restaurants we may work in.

Restaurant POS Systems - Intel - 0 views

  • Improve customer experiences. Customers spend an average of 70 percent more with companies that provide great service.1 The right restaurant POS system can give customers the convenience they want so they keep coming back. Promote new menu items with greater ease. POS self-service touchpoints, like self-ordering kiosks, make it simple to keep menus up to date and draw attention to new items. Offer loyalty features that generate repeat business. Most US customers (65 percent) are members of at least one restaurant loyalty program.2 POS systems can more easily link customers to their loyalty account to drive repeat business.
  • The next generation of self-ordering kiosks includes the combination of cameras and AI-enabled computer vision for new capabilities. For example, by detecting anger or frustration, a kiosk can trigger an alert that sends an employee to assist the customer.
  •
Intel has been at the heart of Restaurant Innovation and the hospitality industry. A business solution that continues to impress. In this post by Intel they refer to how the POS system for a Restaurant has a few different options that are becoming more popular today. The big touch screens from McDonald's to Hotels having touch screens in mirrors. The IoT is creating solutions by partnering with company's like Intel. One highlight for me in this post was Intel's solution of Kiosks systems that can detect emotions using Ai camera's, and alerting employees to help the customer.

Predictions for Hospitality Tech in 2019 | Hospitality Technology - 1 views

  • Every new year presents us with an opportunity to start fresh and improve ourselves for the future. As we start to get our personal resolutions ready, we should also recognize the opportunity that 2019 presents us to find new ways to differentiate and improve our guest experience. Of course, one way to do this is to leverage technology that solves problems for not only your guests but for your teams as well.
  • Unleash The Data Floodgates Knowing your customer down to the smallest of details is essential to good customer service today. Data holds the key to unlocking these actionable details.
  • n other words, there’s no shortage of data that you can collect on your customers. From browsing history to customer service records, basic information forms, and surveys recording preferences, you can gather endless information to get to know and service your guests better.
  • ...8 more annotations...
  • Trends tell us that a personalized experience isn’t enough anymore; guests today want a hyper-personalized guest experience. In order to provide one, hotels are going to have to think of new and innovative ways to collect data and then quickly and seamlessly use it to meet and exceed expectations. For example, Virgin Hotel Chicago adjusted its rewards program to be less of a rewards program and more of a preference program. In the program, appropriately called “The Know,” guests put in information about themselves in exchange for things like coupons to dine at the hotel’s restaurant. It gives them the chance to give dietary preferences, select what types of liquor they’d like in their mini bar, and what kind of cocktail they’d like waiting for them at check-in.
  • Smart Rooms & Self Service For The Win The “smart home” has left the bedroom and transitioned to the hotel room. Hotels of every shape and size are incorporating self-service capabilities that ‘smart’ technologies offer to meet the needs of their guests at every point of their stay.
  • Hotels like Hilton allow guests to check-in and set their room preferences -- from temperature to how dim or bright the lights should be -- before they arrive. By implementing self-service options, you help reduce wait times for guests trying to find information and request service.
  • Yotel is also embracing the digital revolution by allowing guests to check in via their airline-style kiosks. The kiosks, which are set up throughout the lobby, allow guests to avoid lines, select preferences, and set them up with their room quickly and easily. With studies showing that people estimate that they waste at least one hour a week waiting in lines, these self-service options not only alleviate waste times, but frustrations as well.
  • At the Godfrey Hotel in Boston, when you walk into a room, the television automatically syncs with your phone and loads your social media, Netflix, or Hulu account giving you easy access to all your favorite content. Meanwhile, in New York, the Renaissance is using its interactive digital concierge service to offer suggestions and information on restaurants and sights.
  • Real-time Communication Will Make Or Break You Of course, even with the introduction of new and exciting technologies that do some of the work for you, you still need to master the basics, such as communication. And today, this means real-time communication. Why, you ask? In December 2017, hotels on the Zingle platform received over 140,000 messages from guests. That’s roughly 4,500 messages a day that teams are fielding regarding everything from service needs, recommendations, complaints and general information inquiries. To handle this deluge of communication, savvy hotels leveraged 103,811 automated responses to answer some of the more common questions in a more efficient manner.
  • Prepare For A New Reality… That Includes Robots As time goes on, hotels are going to have to find ways to incorporate more immersive and interactive technology in order to provide better and more memorable experiences that differentiate themselves from their competitors. 2019 is poised to be a big year for virtual and augmented reality as hotels either find ways to incorporate it, or face the unhappy reality of losing guests.
  • From Hilton to Intercontinental, physical bots have joined their digital counterparts in entering the hospitality industry. However, hotel teams don’t need to panic about losing their jobs -- just yet. Nonetheless, they do provide real value for their ability to perform mundane, repeatable task that can free up staff to service guests elsewhere.
  •
This article was written at the end of 2018 with discussion and predictions for Hospitality Technology in 2019. The majority of the new technology is centered around improving the guest experience with most of it related to the hotel industry. From self check-in kiosks like you see at the airport, to smart rooms in the hotel that sync with your phone and automatically show your netflix and other social media platforms on your tv.

Why Hospitality Should Consider Disinfecting Kiosks, POS and More with UV-C Energy Tech... - 1 views

  • Using UV-C energy to inactivate microorganisms at the genetic level by scrambling their cellular DNA, UV-CLEAN has been proven by independent testing to eliminate 99.9% of deadly pathogens on high touch surfaces.
  • hotels and restaurants have a large number of points of interaction that are used by employees and guests. These touch points include check-in and informational kiosks, the point of sale, payment devices, order taking stands and on-table devices – all of these points of interaction can be a source of harmful viruses and bacteria.
  • Current cleaning standards are inconsistent, prone to error, are expensive due to labor costs, can cause increased failure rates (due to liquid damage), and can cause cosmetic damage to technology.
  • ...4 more annotations...
  • The solution leverages UV-CLEAN technology to automatically disinfect surfaces during pre-set cleaning cycles.
  • Disinfection in hotels needs to focus on both technology and consumer items.
  • Within sit down restaurants, technology is expanding to include check-in kiosks, on table payment and entertainment devices and pay at the table devices.
  • “As IUVA recognized, UV-C has been proven to inactivate coronavirus, SARS-CoV-1, which is 80% genetically related to COVID-19.
  •
UV-Clean is useful, disinfecting technology the Hospitality Industry can use during and after this COVID-19 pandemic. As restaurants and hotels slowly open back up, their surfaces run high risk of carrying the virus, being that more people are going to be around and touching things.

Impact of Individual Differences and Consumers' Readiness on Likelihood of Using Self-S... - 1 views

  • As more hospitality companies use self-service technologies (SSTs), the industry is going through an evolutionary adoption process.
  • To successfully implement and use SSTs, it is important for the hospitality operators to understand the factors that determine both willingness and resistance of the customers on using the SSTs.
  • The results indicate that consumers’ extrinsic motivation had the most significant impact on their likelihood of using new SSTs (e.g., kiosks and touch screen tables for ordering food or other services at hotels, casinos, and restaurants or pools), followed by intrinsic motivation and role clarity.
  •
The article, Impact of Individual Differences and Consumers' Readiness on Likelihood of Using Self Service Technologies at Hospitality Settings states that the use of self-service technology is a rising trend across the board. Major hotel chains, resorts, casinos are implementing software that can remember customers, their information, and go beyond current human levels of service performance. However, not everyone is ready for this new age of self-service technology. In their study, the authors explored influential factors related to individual differences and customer readiness on the likelihood of using self-service technologies. Findings supported technologies such as pay-at-the-pump, online travel purchase, ATMS, and other services that have been around for years were highly accepted. On the contrary, new services such as ordering food over the phone and Internet kiosks in bars were preferred by less than thirty percent of respondents. Within the hospitality industry, customers may perceive new self-service technologies as positive but may choose not to use them if they do not understand it or see no clear benefit from it.  To summarize the results, people may just not be ready for the self-service take over. Especially in the early stages, hospitality companies would need to have an employee standing by the new self-service technology to assist customers with their needs. Although a well used self-service system could generate a new revenue stream, particularly when concerning the younger generation, it is essential that managers take into mind the overall level of consumer motivation and readiness to embrace it,

  • More importantly, a good POS system is capable of improving the efficiency of the F&B operation and increasing the productivity of employees.
  • A good POS system should let you focus on your customers, not your POS system,
  •
This article discusses how new demand of customers within the hospitality industry is driving current point of sale systems such as micros to re-term their systems to focus more on customers. It includes several factors that are potentially driving POS systems to be revolutionized. The possibility of POS systems becoming more "from the palm of your hand" is growing each day as more POS systems are converging with wireless devices. As other outside factors influence hoteliers to emerge and update their POS systems, the development and progress of having the most profitable POS systems requires close examination of what works best for each company. One example the article touched on was the change from regular cashier systems to IPad based interactive systems and interactive kiosks. In addition, the enhancements of POS systems overall seem to be increasing F&B profit-a section of the financial statement that was historically less profitable. As with all technology, It is best to refrain from making a large capital investment into emerging systems, starting slow and monitoring how the bottom line is increasing and specific areas such as Room revenue or F&B revenue is the ideal choice.

Such a great article I forwarded it to my client. Working in the corporate food service industry, my location lacks the technology of a POS system. Yes, we still use a Sharp cash regristar which makes sales tracking nearly impossible. The potential to drive sales with the use of a POS system and other technologies that continue to develop would be of great benefit. A POS system that tracked, sales, comps, discount, high and low seller would be great from the management side but a cashless system or a intergrated CC machine would increase speed of service thus satisfying the customer.
  •
Excellent Article! POS systems are becoming more user friendly than before. The systems allow companies to track revenue and inventory at the same time. The Walt Disney World Resort tested a POS system that allowed hotel guests to simply flash their room key and the charges would go directly into the POS system then PMS. Hotels have added POS systems to spas, recreation locations and retail stores...(http://www.restaurant.org/nra_news_blog/2012/04/pos-systems-must-accommodate-new-secure-payment-technology.cfm).

McDonald's Big Mac ATM | PYMNTS.com - 1 views

  • Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., the Big Mac ATM will dispense two new sizes of burger
  • In lieu of payment, hungry customers will “pay” with their Twitter handles and get a free lunch.
  • We’re still pretty far from robot chefs, and restaurants still need human staff to cook and serve the food (not to mention they’re needed to maintain the machines).

  • inexpensive and multifaceted marketing tactic
  • 77 percent of North American customers ages 18 to 34 want or expect mobile ordering at fast-food restaurants
  • 79 percent of consumers agreed that restaurant technology improves their guest experience
  • adding ordering features onto its relatively new mobile app
  • experimenting with delivery
  • self-service kiosk ordering, digital smart menu boards, custom-order options and even table service
  • the company is banking on big tech changes
  • it allows McDonald’s to get its products out there and its tech message across without shelling out big marketing bucks that could be better spent on ramping up its other tech offerings and initiatives
  •
McDonald's has consistently been "beaten to the punch" by its competitors regarding the use of technology in its restaurants, and it has shown in an overall 10.4 decrease in foot traffic from its peak. In a cross-promotional attempt to advertise its new menu offerings while connecting with a younger (i.e. Millenial) market to show off their increased technological offerings (e.g. mobile ordering, digital smart menu boards, self-service ordering kiosks, and even delivery), McDonald's set up a Big Mac vending machine in Boston's Kenmore Square that dispensed burgers in exchange for a video posted to the consumer's twitter account. This multi-facted marketing technique allowed them to deliver their tech-driven message to potentially several hundred new consumers for every burger that was dispensed. This is a highly cost-effective marketing strategy that will allow McDonald's to focus its resources on continued development of the tech solutions that the event is aimed at promoting.

  • McDonald’s noticed a juicy opportunity to upgrade their drive-thru technology, which drives 70% of their business, and swiftly bought the group that makes the AI software.
  • Golden Arched giant and its franchisees to increase average check, cash flow and quickness of service.

  • As casual-dining and fast-casual chains are quickly finding ways to add value and enhance customer experience, ordering your favorite restaurant meals is becoming easier. This is mainly due to the advent of online ordering apps, which have allowed more businesses a way to offer timely and affordable delivery options to their hungry customers.
  • The nations biggest quick-service chains have noticed the changes and are investing heavily to take advantage. “Technology is playing a bigger and bigger role in the restaurant industry,”
  • In the past, the ability of large fast-food chains to make these investments has given them a bigger sales edge over smaller quick-service companies.
  • A rise in upgraded POS options and features has encouraged many business owners to invest in technology in order to keep up with the competition.
  • The good news is that with restaurant technology developing so quickly many of these new features are going to be accessible
  •
Unattended POS systems in fast food restaurants like McDonalds can significantly improve their efficiency and remove the pressure from their staff. Restaurants like these are often short staffed. They feel significant impact when they do not have enough staff to support the amount of business that comes through their doors. The cashier often will have to assist in making orders as well, causing a further delay in the line. Adding this and their new drive through initiative, McDonalds will be able to maximize profit, produce more orders in one day and keep their customers waiting minimal amounts of time.
  •
This article focuses on the enhanced technology that fast food chains such as McDonald's are embracing to enhance their service and increase their productivity. An example of this is the self-service kiosks that many McDonald's have installed inside their restaurants. Consumers have adapted well to this technology because data shows that this has increased revenue over time, therefore proving how the unattended POS technology is helping companies be more cost efficient and increase sales.

5 Technologies Hotels Should Be Investing Into For 2020 | By Andrew Metcalfe - Hospital... - 0 views

  • A recent study of 2,000 people conducted by Guestline, looked how people book their hotels and the factors involved in room cancellations. It was found that over a quarter of people take into high consideration the quality and detail of a hotel's website (such as photographs and information) before making a direct booking online1.
  • Investing money into your websites simplicity in all stages of the guest journey will help acquire traffic, increase conversion rates and drive more people to book direct. The simplicity of website use (including less re-directs) will result trustworthiness of the potential customer. Hotel management may also find reporting efficient with less redirect windows to consider.
  • An investment in secure payment gateways protects the data of hotel guests, and the hotels credibility. For example, if a guest was to see the wrong value on an invoice, they may become wary of how secure that hotel's payment system is and look elsewhere. A secure payment gateway also checks in advance whether the credit card exists and is covered which could reduce chargebacks. This way, the hotelier can make sure that the booking via the credit card is genuine and at the same time protect the guest's data.

  • Carefully choosing the right time to upsell a guest's hotel booking is crucial to a hotels' additional revenue stream. After a booking has been made there is a fresh window of opportunity to upsell, as guests will reflect on their budget spend and perhaps feel there is room to spare on extra luxuries and see what they may be missing out on.
  • Having all the data in one system makes presenting and acting on the data much more effective. For example, Amazon don't deliver packages 100% of the time but the rest of the experience they control, making it so easy for people to buy from them. Hotel systems will need to move this way in order to provide similarly strong guest experiences." Says Andrew
  • In a recent survey of 2,654 consumers by the Travel Leaders Group, 78% of respondents said they would like to see self-service kiosks more widely available for check-in2.
  • Omni channel platforms enable you to centralise operational systems, take back control of your revenue flow and transparency of guest data, so hotel management can focus on creating the best experience for customers.
  • Consumers are becoming accustomed to self-service systems as they appear across retail, leisure & transport industries. Another study, suggested that guests favour hotel self-service check-in's as it provides a faster service, results in more privacy and waiting time/lines are much shorter3. Hoteliers could consider how their core data system might be centralised as much as possible in order to make it a less complex & more efficient guest journey from booking to check in. Technology such as guest portals can be efficient for customers to retrieve their invoices quickly and will centralise all the data for the hotelier.
  • many of these will create options to drive people to your website but also more competition. If you can show your offering more easily, make booking slick and then integrate it to an onsite experience it will encourage guests to use you for converting their search to a reservation.
  • Upselling is an important aspect of hotel revenue
  • Hotel payments have adjusted to new legislation and as the move towards a more integrated guest experience aspects through check-in and checkout, invoice retrieval march on the payment aspects will have to dovetail seamlessly and accurately.
  •
