I also like this website because it included videos and demonstrations of what a parent could do while raising their toddlers. How This Influenced My Thinking: This reinforces my understanding of how much attention toddlers need from their parents during their development in order to increase their own development. Credibility of Source: I browsed the whole website and all information seems accurate and it has a lot of good examples and ideas.

It is aimed to people who have the diagnosis and struggle to explain their behavior and challenges to others. How has this influenced my thinking: I really found it very interesting the advice given, and i think these rules can be applied to anything people have misconceptions about. This article goes into detail about how a child can gain more self esteem and acceptance through co sleeping and how the mother can enjoy more sleep at night while also creating a strong bond with her child. How this influenced my thinking: It has enlightened me to the benefits of co-sleeping. As ignorant as this may sound before this class I always thought people co slept with their child cause they we too cheap to buy them a crib and quite frankly I looked down upon them. But now I understand some of the benefits a child gains through co-sleeping. Credibility: A published website

It also gave some good insight on what parents could do to make their child feel less confused about the divorce. How This Influenced My Thinking: I learned about statistics of how likely children are to behave in negative ways after divorce and also gave me good advice on how to help your child cope. Credibility of Source: Lesley is a psychologist and has a Ph.D and all of her information seemed to be very accurate.

How This Influenced My Thinking: Opened my eyes up to the many challenges present in this type of situation - when a couple is not happy together nor getting along but still need to work really hard to keep a good enough relationship to support their children. It explain what to expect the question to be at certain stages and how much information to give and how to present it. how has this influenced my thinking: I have a 7 and a 9 year old and I am very interested to know as much as possible about this topic. I was very surprised to read how the professionals contributing to this article find it a OK to explain to an 8 year old the basic concept of conception. credibility of source: it was published on the "American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry" website.

It talks about the basic respect that partners need to show each other. It says that a happy marriage means respecting your spouse. It also discusses healthy ways to resolve conflicts step by step with a spouse. How This Influenced My Thinking: This article made a great point - that true compatibility doesn't exist, so shrug off the little stuff. It says that irreconcilable differences are normal and we shouldn't try to resolve or unresolve but rather come to terms with them and except the differences between you and your partner. I often feel that if you are unhappy because of disagreements that will never be resolved -then you should leave. But the point that we should just except these disagreements and cherish the stronger aspects of a relationship has changed my thinking on this. It is a reflection on a study conducted on more than 21,000 couples in all the United states and gives 10 easy tips on what to do to improve your marriage and also gives the top 10 reasons that cause problems for a marriage. I think it is an easy piece to read for everyone at every stage of their married life. How it changed my thinking: Most of the tips are common sense that everyone will agree to it but more than often we fail to follow; reading them kind of reinforces their message. Credibility of source: The website "first things first" is a non profit grass roots organization that came to be as a tool to help the residents of Hamilton county , Tennessee. Apparently they have a high divorce rate and other relationship and children rearing issues and this website offers advice, support and education on hoe to deal with family problems on a day to day basis. Dozens of books are written every year about the things that go wrong in marriage. Now one of America's foremost marriage researchers has evaluated the things that go right in marriage. David H. Olson, founder of Life Innovations and one of the creators of the Prepare/Enrich marriage enrichment tools, has surveyed 21,501 married couples in all 50 states to identify the top ten strengths of happy marriages.

Title: Take Dr. Oz RealAge Test Author: The Dr. Oz Show Date Published: N.D. Why relevant and summary: These three link were about determining your real age. The Dr.'s explain that there are many factors that age you. Food ages you, if you eat fast food you age faster. Also, the amount of exercise that you do also impacts how fast you age. Genetics also play a major role in your aging process. How it influenced my thinking: I was already aware that the food you eat ages you as well as the amount of exercise that you do. I did find it quite interesting that 80% of the aging process we are in control of such as having a healthy lifestyle. Credibility: Seems credibly…Dr. Oz.

I managed to read through it and find out that there are a lot of things you need to do while pregnant. Credibility: It came from Womenshealth.org, and a doctor wrote this, so I assume that it is very credible.
