I honestly though there were not that many teenagers having sex at an early age, I thought many teenagers had their first intercourse when they were at least 17 years old, but according to the statistics there are teenagers whom are having intercourse at the young age of 12 and 3. The Dr.'s explain that there are many factors that age you. Food ages you, if you eat fast food you age faster. Also, the amount of exercise that you do also impacts how fast you age. Genetics also play a major role in your aging process. How it influenced my thinking: I was already aware that the food you eat ages you as well as the amount of exercise that you do. I did find it quite interesting that 80% of the aging process we are in control of such as having a healthy lifestyle. Credibility: Seems credibly…Dr. Oz.

Although it's only an outline of the marriage preparation classes, it definitely helps to give the key points of what is needed before getting married such as sacraments and also includes how Religion plays an important role within the marriage. How this influenced my Thinking: This website made me realize what a marriage consist of. For many people like me one usually thinks that married life is the best time of one's life and there is no problems that come with it, but reality is that a lot of work has to be put towards the marriage from both parts in order to have a successful marriage. Title: Helping Your Child Through a Divorce Author: Michelle New, PhD Date Published: Updated 2011 Why Relevant and Summary: This site if very helpful because it gives several examples of how one can tell ones child that they are going through a divorce. It also goes through the different ages in children and how they might react to the divorce. Overall, this article is great for helping one cope with a divorce as well as ways to help your child cope with a divorce without making much damage. How this influenced my thinking: My parent are still together, so I was never exposed to any divorce issues, but I do remember having friends whose parents were divorced so I knew it was a hard process especially for my friends. Because I don't talk to my high school friends anymore, I honestly wasn't sure what the negative outcomes were of a divorce, but after reading this site all of the pain and sorrow from my friends came back. Everything that was mentioned especially about teens reactions were the way that my friends reacted during their parent's divorce. Credibility: This site seems to be credible.

It compares the obesity percentage of today's children with those of twenty years ago. It also gives a brief summary of how to deal with children who have obesity, and even includes a meal plan. How this influenced my thinking: This site influenced my thinking in the fact that I always thought that putting an obese child on a diet was the best solution, but this site mentions that one must not completely change their diets because they do need foods from different groups because they need it to grow. It gives an example of a college student using ZPD. This is very helpful especially if you don't understand the ZPD concept and if you're having trouble relating it to your life. How this influenced my thinking: This article definitely helped me have a better understanding of what ZPD is. I was having trouble relating to ZPD since the textbook mostly talks about children but in the article the author uses a college student as an example. I believed that only Latino families practiced co-sleeping, but it turns out that the majority of the world practices co-sleeping. As a kid one usually looks up to kids who have a deep voice or girls who develop breast early, and this website made me realize that those kids whom everyone admires, are at risk of having health problems later on in life.
