Jean Medastin on 13 Jun 11This is an awesome website with a great multimedia video that is itself conceived with Universal Design principles in mind as the narrator's comments are written at the bottom of the screen for people who might be hearing impaired. The video presentation is geared toward people like me who are passionate about creating accessible faculty websites. The coherent structure of the video promotes active engagement and requires focuses on cognitive activity. In addition, the careful selection of relevant information presented seems to take into account Mayers' limited capacity principle from the cognitive theory of multimedia learning(Mayer, 2009). To me, this workshop is undoubtedly a learner-center approach to learning.
