    Pre Training
    * Name of the site Cmappers
    * URL http://www.cmappers.net/
    * Cmappers will allow me to create a collaborative mind map. This will allow for me to create vocabulary words and a general outline for the students to create a depth of meaning about the new material they will be presented in the workshop.
    * I found this website to be user friendly. It could be quickly downloaded and information embedded into the pages. Students will be able to add material to the concept map as they complete the workshop for future reference.

    * Name of the site Wordle
    * URL http://www.wordle.net/
    * This site allows me to put in a series of words, paragraphs or text and it creates a " cloud of words", Students will be able to see the essential elements for their area of study
    * This site is easy to use and in a matter of seconds I had created a word cloud that can be used to a word wall in the class or in the workshop. The student can quickly recognize key words and elements of the workshop. In today's time simplicity as well as effectiveness is important.
    Graphic organizer
    * Name of the site Text 2Mindmap
    * URL http://www.text2mindmap.com/
    * This website allows me to create an outline of the topic and then it is converted into a mind map
    * This site is very simple to use. There was not any software to download. I can easily show an elementary teacher without much technology exposure how to use this site.

    * Name of the site Explora tree
    * URL http://www.exploratree.org.uk/app/?document_id=7864&permission_id=template
    * This website allows the educator to produce a high quality graphic organizer. Students are also able to use and share the resource also.
    * This site is easy to maneuver and it has readymade graphic organizers for the student. The educator and manipulate the sheet to fit his or her needs

    Presentation
    * Name of the site Xtranormal
    * URL http://www.xtranormal.com/index
    * This website allows me to communicate with the students in the workshop by creating a character (animated) that talks to the students. It gives the students a visual and audio effect. This site can be used for generative learning because the students will be able to hear and see the lesson and information.
    * I found this information to be interesting and would have variety to the classroom. This is actually the first time I have used this type of software. It appears too easy to use and it has the potential to be effective.

    * Name of the site Yodio
    * URL http://yodio.com/
    * Yodio will allow me to add audio to pictures. I plan on using screen shots. This software will allow me to add text to the screen shots. Students will benefit from hearing audio to go along with the pictures. These appeals to the audio learner.
    * This website appears to be simple to use. It is also free and can be accessed from the internet or the telephone.
    Authentic Assessment activity
    * Name of the site Dipity
    * URL: http://www.dipity.com/
    * This website allows me to quickly place information in a digital timeline. I will be able to link this information and share with other students. It is visually appealing and will assist in the student who is a visual learner.
    * Dipity is a free digital website. It is easier to maneuver. I can embed pictures in the timeline also. It is a multimedia that can be shared and students can quickly have a visual of the content information.

    * Name of the site ReadWriteThink: Student Materials: Timeline
    * URL http://www.readwritethink.org/files/resources/interactives/timeline/
    * This timeline software allows me to place information into a timeline.
    * This is a very simple timeline to use. It would be a second choice because it does not allow for graphics. The information has to be typed in and the information is placed into a timeline for printing. This would be an excellent start for elementary educators than they could move up to the more advanced timelines.

    The first website that the educators will be introduced to is Engineering Go for it is located at http://www.egfi-k12.org/read-the-magazine/. The participants will explore this website. At this website, the participants will be previewing the website in Presentation-mode view. According to Mayer it is consistent with a "cognitive theory of learning that assumes that humans have separate information-processing channels for verbal and pictorial knowledge" (2009, p.8). This website would also be considered student centered because I do assume that the learners are able to use various coding systems to represent knowledge.

    The second website that I found was located at http://www.loaz.com/learning-objects-authoring-templates/time-line-creators.html. This website gives a tutorial on the use of free time line software. This website should be considered Learner-centered. It focuses on the skill of completing a timeline. It even suggests completing the timeline using pen and paper than transferring the information into the timeline. The technology helps to aid in human cognition instead of causing confusion as referenced by Mayer. (2009). The time line is augmenting the learning for the student.

    The third website I found was located at http://www.dipity.com/ . This free digital timeline creator is leaner centered and should be considered a cognitive artifact because its purpose is to improve thought or action. (Mayer, 2009). The student still has to do the research to put the applicable information in the timeline. Students will have to create a timeline using this software at the workshop. Students will be able to adapt the multimedia technology to aid in human cognition.
