Wordle http://www.wordle.net Wordle offers the ability to create word clouds from a "bunch" of text. Word clouds allow participants to see the key words that are most frequent within a document. This approach to brain storming permits the student to quickly identify key words. In the workshop, Wordle will be used to identify key words from documents, and blogs concerning critical thinking and collaboration. The objective is to inform the participants about the foundational words on these topics as they create knowledge. Selection: Wordle is easy to use and does not require the student to signup. The application is flexible, and allows the user to remove words that do not apply to the topic. Other word cloud programs like Tagxedo were not as intuitive, and provided more extraneous options not required for pre-training.
