    This site allows children to create art in a variety of ways. Children can create pictures by simply printing out a picture to color or digitally painting a picture. This site also provides a wide variety of games based on matching, Internet safety and identifying what is different in pictures. The only down side to this site is your work cannot be saved. If you want to keep your work you have to print it out. I thought this is a great site for younger children because it can easily be navigated through pictures.

    Snapfish has a really neat way where teachers and parents can communicate with each other by posting thier pictures to a secure room. It is a really great way for parents to share pictures of their vacations, outings, or fun adventures they experience with the class. There is also a way that parents can take their child's artwork and turn it into calendars, purses, etc.

This is a great way for teachers, parents, and students to get to know one another by sharing their photos, in a safe and secure room.     Picasa is a great way to organize photos into timelines and albums either on your computer or online. Picasa can be used to edit photos and add text. Movies, collages, slideshows can be made. Photos and items made from picasa can be used by parents, teachers, and children. Teachers can document the progress and activities throughout the school year. Children can use Picasa for showing off their projects or documenting their own personal progress.

    This is free easy photo sharing and also works for Macs. Parents and children could conceivably use it at home to make illustrated books with captions since there is a caption writing feature.

    This is an easy way to start a blog. It walks you through all the steps you go through to start one and all of the features it comes with. You can decide who sees your blog, add pictures, use it from your cell phone, etc. This would be good for teachers to use for their classroom because it has special features and seems easy to use.

    Tikatok is a website where you can create your own book using your own pictures scanned into the computer. You can order a copy of your completed book so that you can have a hard copy of what you or your children have created. This is a great tool for teachers or parents to inspire a child's imagination to create a story with both words and pictures.

    I really like this site and would definitely use it if I had children. It makes it so easy to make a story and actually get a hard copy of it. I reviewed Storybird, which is another site that allows you to create stories, but it doesn't have the option of ordering it. I think this is a step up from Storybird!
