"To enhance access to its rich and varied collections, the Harvard College Library has digitized thousands of historical photographs, pamphlets, manuscripts, books, music scores, rare maps and other rare and unique materials. The vast majority of these images are freely available online for public access"

APNG Assembler 2.7
This application will create an Animated PNG from a set of static PNGs.
Each frame you give it must have the same size.
(you can use this sample circle.zip file to see how it works)
Time to display each frame: / seconds.
Don't show the first frame on APNG-aware viewers:
A ZIP archive with all the frames as separate PNG files (max. size 2M):
The frames will be ordered alphabetically.
Web Animation with transparencies can be done with "portable network graphic", png image format made specially for the web.
Not like jpeg made for photographics purposes without transparency and animation.
...benefits of using trade books is increasing student engagement. High quality trade books are written as to spark interest and create a desire to read. Many contain colorful, interesting illustrations, photographs, and diagrams, all of which draw students into the text and improve comprehension.
From the site:
"This website was conceived at the 2007 Flugsaurier pterosaur research meeting in Munich when we, a collection of pterosaur researchers and artists directly working with us realised that there was no comprehensive, high quality website dedicated to this popular group of prehistoric animals. This acts in stark contrast to a number of excellent dinosaur-based websites and, frankly, we couldn't quite figure out why when pterosaurs are equally famous, popular and, in some respects, better known than their dinosaur cousins. With this in mind, we set out to create a pterosaur based website that:
figure
* Presents up-to-date information on pterosaurs in an accessible fashion
* Sources information from the primary scientific literature
* Is written by qualified, experienced pterosaur researchers
* Can reflect the active research occuring in pterosaur science
* Provides professionally produced pterosaur art and photographs of pterosaur specimens"
In this resource, Roland Case, and the Critical Thinking Consortium explore nine kinds of questions that can be posed of historical and contemporary drawings, paintings and photographs, and explore the "tools" that students need to cross-examine images in response to these different questions.

On the Clouds: A New Way of Computing.
By: Yan Han. Information Technology & Libraries, Jun2010, Vol. 29 Issue 2, p87-92, 6p, 1 Black and White Photograph, 1 Diagram; Abstract: This article introduces cloud computing and discusses the author's experience "on the clouds." The author reviews cloud computing services and providers, then presents his experience of running multiple systems (e.g., integrated library systems, content management systems, and repository software). He evaluates costs, discusses advantages, and addresses some issues about cloud computing. Cloud computing fundamentally changes the ways institutions and companies manage their computing needs. Libraries can take advantage of cloud computing to start an IT project with low cost, to manage computing resources cost-effectively, and to explore new computing possibilities.
