What bothers me is that he was rude to the reporter and her cameraman when they were trying to engage him in a conversation.

the noise is worse than ever. Indeed, it is being magnified every day as more people pile onto Twitter and Facebook and new apps yet to crest like Google Wave. The data stream is growing stronger, but so too is the danger of drowning in all that information.

if you think Twitter is noisy, wait until you see Google Wave, which doesn’t hide anything at all.  Imagine that Twhirl image below with a million dialog boxes on your screen, except you see as other people type in their messages and add new files and images to the conversation, all at once as it is happening.  It’s enough to make your brain explode.

In addition to the time constraint of the Pecha Kucha, your presentation must also follow the 1/1/5 rule. That is, you must have at least one image per slide, you can use each exact image only once, and you should add no more than five words per slide. The formal constraints of this rigid format call for discipline, focus, practice, and paradoxically, creativity.

If a the partner is not needed why would either party wish to go through the difficulties. “The origins of marriage was a simple set up, the man worked, the woman did not.”(Hendrix) Hendrix continues to expand on a common thought of partnership. Hendrix shows that originally that marriage partners were dependent on each other. The woman was dependent on the man for money and the man dependent on the woman for the upkeep of the house. Was it the best system? Possibly. Couples stuck together back then. They fought tooth and nail to keep their marriage strong and did what was best for the family. However, no one disagrees with women becoming part of the work force. “We need to find a middle ground”(Cochrane). Cochrane is speaking on  the terms of interdependence. She is saying that there has to be a middle ground between the powers.
