The device may seek to stand out by using 3D technology. Rumored introduction in June.

Amazon is an amazing company, but this seems like it's out of their wheelhouse.

Apple expert: iPhone-like features boosted Samsung phone sales - 0 views

  •
Article is about yet another court case in which Apple is suing Samsung for copyright infringement. Samsung has already paid Apple $930 million in damages for other infringement cases, and Apple has a strong case for even more. This case and similar ones have implications upon Samsung's ability to compete with Apple for mobile market share.

Official Google Blog: Sharing what's up our sleeve: Android coming to wearables - 0 views

  •
So what's the next stepping stone for mobile tech? Everyone hops on the same tech train fad till it becomes obsolete and the sheep move on to the next pasture. Wearable tech is fun and such but I'm ready for the eye screens and technological body mods...but I'm just a dreamer yeah?

Phonebloks - 0 views

  •
I've been interested in the Phonebloks idea for a while because It just makes sense and is a great way to go for the planet and the people. The question is how reluctant are mobile service providers to let go of their control of their ever competing companies to merge?

Sharing contact Info between mobile devices without an app - 0 views

  •
A great idea, but it seems so difficult to put into play - instead of just sharing one's contact information, one must dial a specific number and also already have the other person's phone number, to receive their additional contact info. While ideally this may be a great way to share information without having said information saved in a database, it seems waaay too difficult to use in actuality, when there are apps out there that do this quickly and efficiently.

Is the 2nd Screen Really the 1st Screen for Millennials? - 0 views

  •
the millennials are changing the way people think about watching tv. the big screen is on but we are on another device. even without the big screen we are watching more and more television on mobile devices.
  •
I think the headline of this article is a good way to put it. Is it true? I would say probably so. The article avoids committing to too many opinions - which screen are people really paying attention to? Who knows? It's a legitimate question.
  •
This isn't really what the article was about, but I love branded content stuff like this when it's done thoughtfully: "A recent example is Chipotle, which recently launched an original Hulu series on factory farming to promote their brand beliefs."

Unlocking Our Digital Sixth Sense with Mobile Technology - 0 views

  •
everything that can have a cpu will have a cpu and they will communicate together. you do one thing in your fridge and your phone, laptop, tv, car and tablet will know about it to... and soon our brains.
  •
This is also commonly referred to as "the internet of things." Digital Sixth Sense is probably a more intuitive way to talk about it, but it's a complex topic to grasp regardless.

The rise of mobile apps and the decline of the open web - a threat or an over-reaction? - 1 views

  •
The battle is on and there are some potentially very large problems is the app world wins.
  •
Yeah, we covered this in Moxie 2011 trend report - it's hard for me to get too up-in-arms about from an emotional perspective but it certainly will suck if a small number of companies control everything.

6 Mobile Trends To Watch For In 2014 - 1 views

  •
predicted trends for the year. some already in full swing. some could change the way we live our day to day lives.
  •
I'd say the first three are more than a year off in terms of really taking hold in the mainstream. The second three are on-point, though may seem like stating the obvious.

The Future of Social Media Is Mobile Tribes - 0 views

  •
Everyone has different needs, and the social landscape is shifting accordingly.
  •
One good (though obvious) point they make is that each of these platforms fits into the life of the user in a different way. Five years ago it was somewhat winner-take-all in terms of user base, but that's no longer the case. Understanding the cultural differences across platforms is also really important to developing concepts for those platforms.

T-mobile takes a game available on some of their devices and brings it the real world. I really like these types of campaigns. Partly because I would love to wander into one of these events because they seem really funny and just might work in advertising too.
