Something that has increased in popularity lately is Netflix. It's supported on Chrome Casts for the tv, computers, gaming systems, and has a really convenient app. The app essentially turns you phone into a remote. Now you don't have to run to the computer to change shows. I know nowandays the only time I actually download an app is for a service and I'll probably download this one.

The whole internet dating thing seems weird to me, and the latest thing has been bringing it to mobile devices with apps like tinder. Regardless of opinions on online dating....this app is huge right now. Online dating is a huge trend and more and more people are finding partners through it. Maybe online apps is just the next evolution to that.

A great idea, but it seems so difficult to put into play - instead of just sharing one's contact information, one must dial a specific number and also already have the other person's phone number, to receive their additional contact info. While ideally this may be a great way to share information without having said information saved in a database, it seems waaay too difficult to use in actuality, when there are apps out there that do this quickly and efficiently.

Many people say medical technology is one of biggest growth areas over the next 5-10 years. It's not a field that excites me much. (I love my doctors, but I don't want to get involved in all that icky stuff.)

This is a very big deal - most times when apps get bought out, their privacy policies are largely dismissed or completely changed. Due to the massive popularity and international use of WhatsApp, this is not a possibility. So the question is, if there will be no ads or information selling, how will Facebook make a profit with this aquisition? How can we as interactives sell this product?

Yeah, Facebook is notoriously uninterested in people's privacy, but they seem to be in a bit of a bind here. Of course Zuckerberg has always said "the revenue funds the product, not he other way around" - in direct contrast to basically every company ever.
