      And the biggest disgrace in this "big grab" by the "Scientific-Administrative Complex" is the so-called "War on Cancer" which has bilked billions from a public terrified by the "C Word". All the so-called "experts" knew the natural cure for cancer over 40 years ago when the Scientific-Administartive Complex launched, with the help of bumbling government bureaucrats, "The War on Cancer". Billions of raised, charity dollars later, we have a bigger problem with cancer and more people dying horrible deaths than ever. Meanwhile "researchers", "all wellness societies' management", and three different "physician specialities" are making huge salaries . The Scientific-Administrative Complex will NEVER find a pill or a treatment cure for cancer ...never mind the fact that only God "cures"... because you can't cure a lifestyle or genetic problem with a pill or a treatment. And we all know that the majority of cancers result from lifestyle issues. gfp

      The King James Version (KJV), the New American Standard Bible (NASB) and other modern translations of the Christian Bible use the older English word "begotten" in this verse. Begotten, the progressive tense of the verb "begat" would be better translated in all Bible versions as "one and only". Begotten in the context of this verse does NOT mean procreation by sexual intercourse as it does when referring to humans and animals. The latter is what the Islamic Qur'an argues in Surah 23:89-91. Because of the Islamic teaching about the meaning of begat, I like "The Message (MSG)" paraphrase of the Greek for "one and only" at http://diigo.com/0n225 . There the writer uses "one of a kind". I feel that "one of a kind" in lieu of "one and only" is a more modern and still accurate expression. It also is clearer in confirming the "oneness of Father, Son and Holy Spirit", the plurality within the Oneness of God. This is what Christians call "The Trinity of God" although that expression is not used in the Bible. God, obviously, does not have sex with humans. And no Christian believes that He does. A so-called, Christian contemporary of the Muslim Prophet, Muhammad, may have improperly explained the Gospel ("Good News") of Yeshua /Jesus to him. History documents that some of those calling themselves Christians in Arabia in the 7th Century were NOT truly Followers of Jesus. They had a poor understanding of the Christian Scriptures as nominal believers ...like some so-called Muslims, then and now. The cult to which some of these belonged and with whom Muhammad may have had contact or received reports about also believed that Jesus had sex with Mary, a Follower of His. These nominal Christians were really pagans with an incomplete understanding of what followership of Jesus entailed. If Muhammad had not received this misinformation about what Christians believed, He would not have recorded Qur'an 5:116, 6:101, 19:35, 19:88-91, 23:88-89 nor similar passages that deny Jesus

It was one of Ina Donelda Patton's favoutites. My Mom also was called Donnie by my Dad and members of our extended family, as she had been as a child by her 8 siblings. Mom's Friends and catering business colleagues usually called her Donna.

      This is God's eternal promise to those who trust in Him and His plan by following Yeshua of Nazareth (Jesus). He died a sacrificial death as God Immanuel (God with us) to pay the full penalty for the sinful nature and sins of everyone who believes that Jesus' death on the cross, not our "good works", gives us the salvation we all need.     These passages from John 14 were shared by my Friend, Bruce Malcolm, at the Funeral service for my Mom, Ina Donelda Patton (aka Donnie (family) & Donna (friends). These passages confirm the eternal promise of Jesus to His Followers, of which my Mom was one, that they will spend eternity with Him in His mansions in heaven. Each human is a "spiritual being in a temporary earth suit". And, therefore, we each will live forever. The only question is where we will spend the non-earthly part of our eternity ...in what Jesus called "heaven" or "hell". The answer to that question depends solely on whether one chooses to believe that Jesus was "a liar", "a lunatic" or "Lord" of us all and "God Incarnate", His eternal "Son" who choose to die on a cross to pay the full penalty for our sin nature & sins which our "good works" cannot pay for. In addition to the above passages, another Friend, Adele Van Caulart, read Psalm 23 ...another source of great assurance of God's love and His peace for my Mom and me. gfp (2012-04-04)

      My problem with Rhoberta's psychology when she points to "understanding" the roots of anger/rage as a route to healing is that it cannot produce freedom from your bondage. (I know this because I knew the emotional and spiritual roots of my rage for the full 25 years that I struggled with my it and that understanding didn't help me one bit. Only knowing "truth" can set you free. Understanding our past pain's roots doesn't produce truth or "freedom" from the pain.     Anger is one of the most powerful emotions and the most challenging one to manage for most people. Some of us can't "manage" it ...at all. At best, some of us can ONLY moderate our reaction to our amygdala's response to our perception of a violation of our so-called rights. That's why Essential #1 is so crucial. (I know because I fought a losing battle with anger/rage for over 25 years until recently when I re-discovered a truth that I had forgotten as a Jesus Follower. Yeh!
