"Contents:Notebook of Leonardo da Vinci ('The Codex Arundel'). A collection of papers written in Italian by Leonardo da Vinci (b. 1452, d. 1519), in his characteristic left-handed mirror-writing (reading from right to left), including diagrams, drawings and brief texts, covering a broad range of topics in science and art, as well as personal notes. The core of the notebook is a collection of materials that Leonardo describes as 'a collection without order, drawn from many papers, which I have copied here, hoping to arrange them later each in its place according to the subjects of which they treat' (f. 1r), a collection he began in the house of Piero di Braccio Martelli in Florence, in 1508. Ambicioso proyecto de educación estadounidense sobre el clima, energía y educación ambiental. The Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness Network (CLEAN) Portal was launched in 2010 as a National Science Digital Library (NSDL) Pathways project. It is led by the science education expertise of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Science (CIRES) at the University of Colorado Boulder and the Science Education Resource Center (SERC) at Carleton College. As of 2012, CLEAN has been syndicated to NOAA's climate.gov portal. CLEAN's primary effort is to steward the collection of climate and energy science educational resources and to support a community of professionals committed to improving climate and energy literacy. The three key components of the CLEAN project are: The CLEAN Collection of Climate and Energy Science resources- high-quality, digital resources---including learning activities, visualizations, videos, and short demonstrations/experiments---geared toward educators of students in secondary through undergraduate levels. Hoy nos aproximamos al surgimiento de la sociedad de consumo. Consumir es un acto inherente a la vida, humana, animal o vegetal: todos necesitamos consumir para satisfacer nuestras necesidades biológicas, si bien en el caso humano se va mucho más allá de las estrictas necesidades de la supervivencia. Pero, ¿qué es consumir? El Diccionario de la RAE lo define así en sus tres primeras acepciones: "1. Destruir, extinguir. / 2. Utilizar comestibles u otros bienes para satisfacer necesidades o deseos. / 3. Gastar energía o un producto energético". La primera acepción viene dada por el origen etimológico de la palabra: del latín consumere, que significa "tomar todo". En principio, tenía una connotación muy restringida: usar algo hasta su extinción (1). El hecho de que ese término haya acabado refiriéndose al modo en que satisfacemos nuestras necesidades da ya cuenta de las estructuras socioeconómicas del sistema capitalista y de las subjetividades que ha producido, pues, si bien un ser humano necesita energía y alimento para sobrevivir, existen otras muchas necesidades que pueden resolverse sin extinguir un objeto. "How Do I Get Started? A Step-by-Step Guide to Designing a Student-Centered Classroom Part I Part Two: It's All About You Part Three: The Syllabus Part Four: Students Part Five: Collectively Writing a Constitution"

This paper reports on the outcomes of a mini-research project about visible forms of collaboration when children are learning with the support of Wikis-online editable websites. The findings were based on observing the children using the Wiki, analysis of the video recording of the task and the survey that was completed by the children using the Wiki as a tool for a task. Qualitative research methodology became a primary technique for the data collection and content analysis approach used to explore the children's behaviour when investigating the use of the wiki and video recording of the sessions. Various types of behaviour associated with collaboration, were observed when the children were working on Wiki pages with their peers.

"Sufficiency: moving beyond the gospel of eco-efficiency" suggests introducing hard limitations to unsustainable trends-in particular to overconsumption-and putting emphasis on distributional justice. Seven chapters written by sustainability and economics experts plus a foreword by Janez Potočnik (Co-chair of the International Resource Panel and former European Commissioner for the Environment) shed light on different angles of sufficiency and formulate concrete recommendations to EU policy makers. The booklet ends with a discussion of several eco-social policies that can start the transition towards an "economics of enough". Many new ideas for an economic paradigm shift have been developed and discussed at the academic and grassroots levels in recent years. The aim of this booklet is to build on a rich body of knowledge and bring these ideas to the attention of engaged citizens and policy makers in order to advance the debate on how to implement sufficiency."

The Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover will search for signs of ancient microbial life, which will advance NASA's quest to explore the past habitability of Mars. The rover has a drill to collect core samples of Martian rock and soil, then store them in sealed tubes for pickup by a future mission that would ferry them back to Earth for detailed analysis. Perseverance will also test technologies to help pave the way for future human exploration of Mars. Strapped to the rover's belly for the journey to Mars is a technology demonstration - the Mars Helicopter, Ingenuity, may achieve a "Wright Brothers moment " by testing the first powered flight on the Red Planet. Searching for Ancient Life, Gathering Rocks and Soil There are several ways that the mission helps pave the way for future human expeditions to Mars and demonstrates technologies that may be used in those endeavors. These include testing a method for producing oxygen from the Martian atmosphere, identifying other resources (such as subsurface water), improving landing techniques, and characterizing weather, dust, and other potential environmental conditions that could affect future astronauts living and working on Mars.
