Traffic light boxes in and around downtown Eugene have been painted by local artists through the program, "Art The Box" put on by the city of Eugene

The artist Mike Van hosting a painting and drawing exhibition in Maude Kerns Art Center from April 4th to May 2nd. Mike Van completed his MFA in painting and drawing at university of Oregon in 1957. His work features many aspects, drawing, painting, watercolors, etc. And many of his works based on animal figures and nature. In the exhibition, he is showing his work that he created since 1957 to 2014, which is exciting and inspiring.

The University of Oregon Symphony Orchestra is the premiere orchestra at UO and one of the finest university orchestras on the west coast. CINEMA PACIFIC is a collaborative effort between the University of Oregon and the Eugene community. Administered by graduate students in the UO Arts and Administration Program, who work alongside undergraduate interns, CINEMA PACIFIC utilizes venues across campus and Eugene for a five-day festival of screenings, live multimedia performances, and art exhibitions.

Fractured Atlas empowers artists, arts organizations, and other cultural sector stakeholders by eliminating practical barriers to artistic expression, so as to foster a more agile and resilient cultural ecosystem.

Fractured Atlas looks like an amazing organization, John. Talking about it class today really piqued my curiosity. I've never heard of it and am going to look more into it.

I was recently informed by a friend of this film festival going on this coming weekend, April 10-13! The DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon returns April 10th, 11th, 12th & 13th, 2014 to the Bijou Art Cinemas in Eugene, Oregon. DisOrient is a social justice film festival dedicated to deconstructing the media stereotypes of Asians and Asian Americans as "Orientals". We believe in the power of film-as-art to educate, heal and improve the lives of people by giving voice to our experiences.

The UO's Arts and Administration is presenting the third annual (sub)Urban Projections presentation of digital arts, electronic music, modern dance, and installation art this Thursday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. at the Hult Center lobby in downtown Eugene. Experience art and performance that reimagines the main lobby, staircases, hallways, walls, ceilings, and spaces-in-between with presentations of thirteen works by artists and performers. The two-hour event will lead the audience through space and change the way that they think of the lobby spaces.

W.O.W. Hall is providing cultural arts and educational opportunities for all ages and income levels in Eugene. It is a multipurpose community arts center, and maintaining a supportive environment for local artists and their creative efforts.

Eugene A Go-Go is an online hub for people in Lane County to find out local art events, venues, and artists. It provides culture activities happening throughout Eugene from festivals, performances and exhibits to classes, auditions and ways to engage with the arts through volunteer and board opportunities.
