This exhibition start May 10, 2014 to September 28, 2014, features work of the Catalan-American artist Pierre Daura and explores his process of identity formation as interpreted through three major motivating forces: his devotion to family, his engagement with various artistic communities, and his transition from Spanish to American citizenship.

Computer-generated imagery, also called CGI, refer to the application of computer graphics to create images in art, printed media, video games, films and television programs. Many movies using this technology to create special effects.

The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, in conjunction with Cinema Pacific, presents "Hunting Requires Optimism" and "Medusa Smack," two video installations by Portland-based artist Vanessa Renwick. On view from April 25 to June 29, 2014, and made possible by a JSMA Academic Support Grant, Renwick's installations address serious issues related to our environment in often humorous ways.

On Sunday, May 4, the Community Center for the Performing Arts hosts an Opening Reception for their exhibit "The Woodmen of the World: Their History and Their Hall" in celebration of Historic Preservation Month. On view from April 1 to August 3, 2014, the exhibition presents two substantially different but equally innovative approaches to figurative art.

The artist Mike Van hosting a painting and drawing exhibition in Maude Kerns Art Center from April 4th to May 2nd. Mike Van completed his MFA in painting and drawing at university of Oregon in 1957. His work features many aspects, drawing, painting, watercolors, etc. And many of his works based on animal figures and nature. In the exhibition, he is showing his work that he created since 1957 to 2014, which is exciting and inspiring.
