Thank you! That was hilarious, but at the same time... thought provoking. I very much agree that art needs to elicit an emotional response or a narrative. It's got to move the viewer in some way...as far as I'm concerned, anyway. And who doesn't love Creature Comforts?

From Nike's project, we can see that even though they have successfully sold their products to people. Nevertheless, when shoes got beat up, people usually just throw it away. Fortunately, Nike has collected shoes for reuse and build couple public facility. This is type of work that working with community and society, which we talked about during the lecture.

I think this is a great idea. I would love to know more about it. There is not much other information about it on the internet besides what is in the video. Does anyone know if Nike donates these courts or fields? That would be a great way to give back to the community.

I really like this a lot. This is good for Nike public relations wise and it is smart economically as well. Nike being a progressive company is a positive for everyone involved.

A little bit entertainment. This recreation of 'Gangnam Style' always keeps me entertained and laughing. They incorporated a lot of scenery and places on U of O campus to illustrate the ducks and got a lot of people to join in and take pride in our school.

I agree with this! Even though this is not going on anymore I found it so entertaining to see Oregon and many other schools compete to get the best 'Gangnam Style' video. I liked how you were able to see the aspects of our school through this. Very funny way to showcase the beauty of our school.

This video is awesome! Whether people understood all Korean lyrics and the hidden meanings of the song or not, they made it really great. It reminds me of an idea that art (mainly focusing on entertainment in this case) does not have no boundaries at all.

Brazilian graffiti artists join demonstrations against the Brazil World Cup, using the streets as a canvass to express their discontent. Protesters are angry about the government spending billions on World Cup infrastructure rather than basic public services. On The Rocks was founded in 1999 by Leo DaSilva and Peter Hollens when they attended the University of Oregon. The group established itself through five albums with an EP, a viral video of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, and appearances on NBC's show "The Sing Off". And now they are a new group of twelve living up to their past of fame and notoriety. You may ask us, "Why don't you sing Lady Gaga?" or "Where are the guys from the 'Sing Off'?" Sadly those days are gone. Those who graduated left us a great legacy and we look up to their talent every time we sing. But talent never graduates. Talent built this group from a time before the boom of TV shows and viral videos, because having the time of our lives has always been the goal and will continue to be forever. So know this: Every time we perform, we step on stage with the vigor of every man who has ever sang in our name. On. The. Rocks.

I really enjoy these guys because of the community that they create while singing and the way they can harmonize themselves all together.

The men in OTR are so talented and show perseverance with all of their endeavors. Especially knowing one of the members and how he balances about 7 different social scenes with the U of O, I am truly amazed with what they can do. They don't just use their voices but also their personalities which to me is one of the best parts when it comes to entertaining.

Okay I am unsure if this qualifies as an art world or anything note worthy. I however thought it was fun and interesting. So I have always heard that animals could "create" art in various ways but i had never seen it. Through looking for another thing to post i stumbled upon this and thought id share! That is a really fun video, I think these paintings could reflect different characteristic of the elephant, and their emotion while they painting, it is really amazing.

OCCA, the Regional Arts Council for the Oregon coast, invites mid-career visual artists from Curry, Coos, Lincoln, Tillamook, Clatsop and the coastal school districts of Douglas and Lane counties to submit proposals for a two month show in the Coastal Oregon Visual Artists Showcase at the Newport Visual Arts Center. OCCA will help each artist create a video about them and their art that will be shown on a touch screen computer next to the Showcase and become part of the Coastal Artists Video Archive.

lol, this is really an interesting porject, and I remembered that I did the same 3-d picture once like a few months ago. Those picture need unusual painting skills. It is hard, but is full of fun.
