"In Wednesday's post, What Is Hotlinking? I gave an overview of the potential problems associated with linking to images on the web. At the end of that post I included a short summary of best practices for using images in blog posts. Since it was buried at the end of a post that was otherwise fairly technical and lacking of a catchy title, I think it is worth sharing those best practices again in this dedicated post."

"3D Brain is a free iPad app that features a model of the human brain. he app provides a three dimensional model of the human brain that students can rotate. To look at a specific part of the brain select it from the drop-down menu and it will be highlighted on the model for you to view. Click the "info" tab to read one page summaries about each part of the brain. On the app you can also find some case studies about disorders and brain damage."

"Flickr hosts millions of images that are licensed under a Creative Commons license or are in the public domain (Flickr Commons). Depending on the license, you may use the images on your private or commercial webpage, or can make changes to it. If you want to use these images, you need to to the following: Make sure you understood the license correctly Get the correct HTML code for the IMG tag Link the image back to the Flickr photo page Give the author of the image proper credits (Attribution) Link to the Flickr profile of the author Link to the license the image is licensed under With ImageCodr.org, there is no need to do all this manually, you simply enter in the URL of the picture page (as seen in your browser) you are interested in and ImageCodr.org will generate the ready to use HTML code. It will also display a brief and easy license summary, so you don't get in legal trouble because you missed something."

Mr. G Online inserts Maria Anderson's Prezi into his blog and provides a summary and highlights. Overview of necessary skills to future-proof your learning in the Prezi touches on the necessary skills divvied up differently than the Conference board of Candan's list.

"In the summer of 2011, I was awarded a MACUL grant for $1,342. The final requirement for the grant was to provide a summary. I've included links to many of the things that the students did in my classroom last year as a result of having access to these wonderful tools. "
