6 Ways to Turn Diigo Into a Traffic Booster - 3 views

  • If you haven’t heard of Diigo yet, it’s high time you took a look and made use of what they have to offer. They define themselves as a powerful research tool and a knowledge-sharing community. I believe their promise is backed up by the features they offer: bookmarking, annotations, clippings and the possibility to share everything you come across with others.
  • Diigo is not your average social network. Given its strong focus on effective research, most users are there to keep tracks of the domains they’re keen on. Unless you are able to create tons exquisite content on quite a few hot tags of Diigo, just bookmarking your own articles won’t get you very far.
  • So what other ways are there to use Diigo as a traffic generator?
  • ...8 more annotations...
  • 1. Pay attention to your profile
  • 2. Be an active user
  • 3. Build new relationships based on common interests
  • 4. Find your friends
  • 5. Engage peers in meaningful conversations
  • 6. Avoid the temptations of selfishness
  • Traffic should never be the only goal of your joining a certain community.
  • Comparing notes, getting relevant feedback or ideas, being part of a group effort, these can be equally rewarding. Targeted traffic is however what you get in return for your contribution to the community. That said, your best tools to get the most out of Diigo are respect for others, helpfulness, attention to details and constant learning.

Diigo's New Release « Experiencing E-Learning - 0 views

  • I admit that I don’t use all these features; I still end up mostly using Diigo as my personal research tool. Having the ability to highlight and annotate text makes it much more useful as part of my personal learning environment than delicious. Personally, I think Diigo just looks a lot nicer than the barebones interface for delicious, especially in this version.

Emily Chang - eHub: Diigo V3 a Win with Non-Intrusive Social Networking - 0 views

  • In summary, Diigo’s new sidebar is well designed. It allows me to focus on my work while, at the same time, giving me access to Diigo’s knowledge community. Improvements to Diigo Groups has turned this aspect of the Diigo community into a powerful way to distribute and refine knowledge among a team. And Diigo’s “varying degrees of non-intrusiveness” approach to social networking has infused a level of maturity into the social networking world that has been sorely lacking up to this point. There’s a lot of hype around Diigo right now, and the bottom line is that it’s well-deserved.

The Power of Educational Technology: One For Tuesday 3-25-2008 - 0 views

  • Diigo seems to be a mashup of many of the best features of del.icio.us, facebook, tumblr and twitter. You can save bookmarks, share them with friends and with groups, join groups, send each other links and messages and comment on your friends' walls.

Diigo: Mark up the Web « Tablet PC - A Student's Perspective - 1 views

  • Have you wished you could mark up a website? Highlight, add notes and the share it with others? Diggo is a solution to all your needs. Ok I exaggerated, it doesn’t have ink support (damn). However it lets you highlight, annotate, tag , bookmark, blog and share webpages. Isn’t that awesome? If you are tired of printing all those webpages to OneNote just so that you could highlight up the important parts, Diggo is your solution. Sign up, don’t hesitate to download the firefox/IE tool bar, give it a spin and well leave me a note of thanks :).

    Hi,

I think there is no way for alphabetical order on bookmark title, now. But I'm not sure why do you need that? The bookmark title is usually web title... Do you want to add a keyword before title? If so, it is better to use Tag for it.

    Hi,

I think it is not a bug. I don't want to move from original page when I search.
For example: When I'm writing in a page and I want to search, my input contents is cleared by search.

But I can understand your opinion, too. I hope we can select them.

    Mah,

    Hi,

You can add a bookmark to one list when you add bookmark. Please check "Add to a List" checkbox and select list from combobox.

Or you can add all bookmarks in a tag to a list.
    1. Search by that Tag in "My Bookmarks".
    2. Check "All" checkbox.
    3. Select a list from "Add to List.." combobox.

    Hi,

Can you tell me what feature is in BOND of del.icio.us.? Is the Diigo complex Tag search not enough ?
(ex: http://www.diigo.com/user/mahsaito/java%20ajax) It can show not only list but also RSS and webslide.
