Khan Academy would be a great resource for teachers and administrators looking for help with RTI needs. There are sections for every content area where students can test their skills via an online assessment. After several questions, content is adjusted to the specific learning level of the individual student.

This is great for auditory and visual learners taking different steps with them. The site begins various practices or content knowledge with an interactive assessment of what you know, what you need review, and what it recommends to build upon the knowledge that the student indicates they have yet to learn or are unfamiliar with. In a sense, it differentiates and it assesses as you interact. Learn for free about math, art, computer programming, economics, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, finance, history, and more. It is also something that can be shared with district personnel to either add to or build a similar resource 'page' or 'document' within one's district.

I would use this site to work with the math and science teachers. For this bookmark, I am focusing on math because I find this group to be the hardest to get to work with the library. I would meet with the teachers, discuss concepts they are teaching and then show them this array of simulations they can assign students for any of the following reasons: *Formative Assessment *Further practice on a concept a student is struggling with mastering *A learning extension for accelerated learners - this could be a part of a personalized learning path.

I'm not a fan of giant lists, to 6 is a good number to share. Some of these we've learned in class, some are not as obvious. #4 is a good new strategy to use, that I've never seen before.

Suggestions for good discussion posts

Graphite reviews apps, games, and websites that for their educational usefulness. A consistent review template makes the reviews easy to browse and compare. Each tech tool is reviewed by Graphite, and most also show scores from teacher reviews as well. The reviews are focused and have sufficient detail to be helpful. Potential issues for educational use (such as age limits) are noted. Use the filters on the "Reviews and Ratings" tab to find apps right for your school, or use the "Top Picks" area to compare tools for similar purposes (making videos, or formative assessments, for example). There is a Common Core Explorer that will suggest tools that fit each standard, and there is also a Teacher Center that includes lesson plans made to take advantage of the tools.

So this is interesting. A quiz from PennState for faculty wanting to get into online teaching. Could be used when talking with teachers about the pros and cons of online teaching.
