Green shares the story of Roy Kobert and John Ninfo a bankruptcy attorney and bankruptcy judge who both volunteer their time teaching kids the importance of financial literacy. With the economy plummeting out of control both men have decided to be advocates for teaching financial literacy to children and young adults. Both men have seen the devastating effect that financial literacy ignorance has caused on the economy and individuals. They fear that if creditors can lure the youth into debt, our countries youth future is in jeopardy. Their goal is to stop the madness before it starts through education intervention. The article also talks about several different programs promoting financial literacy that have been implemented in different states across the country.

The author addresses the importance of opening up the lines of communication between parents and their children. Children learn by example and it is important to help children understand the importance of why decisions are made in a household as well as differentiate the difference between want and need. If parents act responsibly with money, their children can learn from their actions. The article encourages parents to teach their children that money is a resource, a gift but not an end to a means. It drives home the fact the money alone does not buy happiness. Cross encourages stewardship and that realization that money is a way to share the benefits of life with people who have less.

Palmer discusses the positive impact that her mother's financial advise made on her life. In addition the article also references a study that suggests that Parents that teach their kids about the positive impact that money management can have on their lives can help them made better informed decisions as adults. Many parents lack the knowledge of financial literacy themselves and therefore their children grow up knowing very little about the importance financial literacy. The lack of financial literacy knowledge among the youth has caused unease and has inspired new programs designed to help parents teach their children.

discuss the serious effects of low financial literacy for today's workers and retirees. Financial statistics are given that show deficient financial literacy levels in many demographics. The article is a great source of statistical information that will support claims in other articles as well.

This artical is about how students perceive other students when it comes to academics. In short is shows how much they use peer reviews to help further their education. I thought this is cool because it also shows how in communites one can go to another for help and benefit from it, it also shows the importance of friends and other peers when it comes to academics.

This article discusses an alternative method to the traditional education techniques for financial education. This alternative is the implementation of CD-ROMs for children fourteen years and above, that help introduce and instruct proper financial protocols. This source can be used to show the amount of concern financial literacy that is present today.

this is an artical i found when looking at negative efects friends can have on eachoother, especially in an academic setting. it basically just gives examples of how things like rejection from peers can lead to poor academics and life choices. Good study with solid information to back it up.

this was an inetresting source because it said one fact i never really thought of before. that is that your friends and social grouping can influence your negative approach to schooling. this is a not a path i really ever thought to go down when looking at how my communities dynamics megativly effect school so i guess something good came out of this source.

Presents an interview with Elisabeth Donati, executive director of Creative Wealth International. The interview is used to reveal the many deficiencies in financial knowledge that young people face upon entering the working world. This source uses real life examples from Elizabeth's own experience to illustrate the incredible need for some form a financial education.

the only thing i really found usefull here is a single excert explaining how the better cocial terms one is on with their classmates, the better they usually do academically. I thoguht i could potentially corelate this into terms of how close knit you are with your friends the better you do in school, but im still working on it. not sure if i can use but someone might be able to.

The source takes a firm stand on the debated issue concerning a regulated or unregulated market. The position taken is in support of an unregulated market as long everyone can make fully informed decisions in it. This source can be used to show that education can act in place of regulation and form a stronger economy.

This artical was ment for highschool students but it brought up a very inetresting topic to consider and that is "critical friend groups". basically it tries to prove that friends are vital to the survival of an individual in the school experience and help them grow more than even their parents in some ways. This artical brought to my attention all the potential problems roommates can have, thus what prooblems groups of friends living together can have. i liked this artical and it broguht up good points. check it out i will use it in my research paper about how my group of friends effect eachother throughout college

this was a cool little study i found about how roommates of different race effect your experience at college. this shows brought my mind to think of different directions to take on my community study and how race could possibly effect the tensions and social relationships between two people in the group.

This article discusses the assessment of a class of girls who were issued a certain type of graphics calculator. The teacher of this class was known for his integration of calculators in his course curriculum, and his classes were known for achieving above average on tests. The primary study was to investigate the effects of learning with the use of a graphing calculator. Classroom conversation was recorded and analyzed in order to determine how well the class understood the curriculum. This article while limited only to certain number of students delves deeply into how they were taught, and their response to the use of graphics calculators in the classroom.

While the studies conducted in this paper are of an Australian background, this article offers some background information on the graphing calculator, such as when they were first introduced to students in Australia. The article also contains information on the background of the use of graphing calculators, such as how they affect students' performance, their attitudes towards the subject, and their confidence. This study shows how the performance can be enhanced by the use of graphics calculators.

Solow discusses in this article uses of the graphing calculator, and how she incorporated it into her classroom while teaching calculus. The article explains uses of the graphing calculator, and how it can be integrated into the calculus course. The article explains what the graphing calculator can be used for, and the benefits. That the students scored higher on tests, and over all performed better in class with the use of graphics calculators.

The Authors of this article have conducted a study on 710 college students who were taking Pre-Calculus class. They were split into a controlled group, and a test group. The control group took the course using basic technology, and text books. The test group used graphics calculators and textbooks geared towards learning with graphics calculators. At the end of the course the students were required to take a comprehensive exam. The results showed that the students who took the course with the graphics calculators scored much higher than those who took the course in the traditional fashion. This study was conducted over a period of three semesters, and will prove very useful in my argumentation.
