geodesicdomegreenhouse - cnybonsai - 0 views

This Google Site made by Curt Drury is an excellent example of a cheap, but very successful geodesic greenhouse. This source shows how to build the dome using PVC pipe and cutting your own connections. This will make the joints weaker, but if it worked for Drury then it is worth it to look into. He made his dome with only spending $300. This site is very useful because the creator of the dome doesn't leave out steps and projects. He was very good about recording his process as well as uploading pictures of it. I would recommend using this site, especially if you are thinking in terms of a greenhouse. This is a good reference to go back and forth to while you research and build your own dome. When I found this site and read it, I was able to make my decision that "Yes, a geodesic-dome-greenhouse is a realistic, exciting option". Once I knew it was going to be a greenhouse I could eliminate materials like wood (too wet in greenhouse for wood). This site is very helpful. I will be referring to it and comparing to it as I build my dome.

Brain Parts Overview - 0 views

The source different from other sources I've used because it is actually a slideshow, not an article (which is helpful in the sense that you do not have to read a lot, it is very short and concise information). The slideshow gives plenty of information about the five senses of the body and the various organs related to those senses. I took notes on the entire slideshow. This source is useful because, as I mentioned before, it is written out in the simplest form possible and most important terms are highlighted. This source helped me understand the fundamentals of the senses and how they operate in the brain. I will use this source from time to time when I need to reference the information on the senses.

Brain Anatomy | Mayfield Clinic - 0 views

  •
Brain Anatomy info, anatomy of the human brain complete with illustrations and references.

The main purpose of this article is to help the reader understand more about what the parts of the brain are and what functions they control. The website talks briefly about the different lobes of the brain, the glands, the nerves, fluids, blood supply to the brain, and cells. Many sources and links to other helpful articles are located at the bottom of the article. I would recommend this source to someone who is deeply interested in finding out more about brain anatomy. I can use this source to take notes on the anatomy of the brain and learn about what each section of the brain functions.

How the Ukraine crisis ends - 1 views

  •
This article is about the possible out comes that can happen when the crisis starts to come to a close. It also gives a great political history of Russia and the Ukraine.
  •
I am glad you put this article on Diigo Clayton! Kissenger does a nice job of reminding people to have historical knowledge before reacting; Russian history and psychology of Ukraine can not be ignored. I was intrigued by his comment that villanizing Putin is a response to not having a clear policy. HK starts his essay well with the reference to how easy war begins and how challenging and daunting it is to end. Words of wisdom...

Eric Jackson Interview - 1 views

This Interview really showed me how sponsors can put pressure on you and how it can make snowboarding not fun.
  •
Whenever you take what you love and attach being paid to it, the dynamic changes. I particulary liked the part of the interview when Eric talks about the mental strategies to face the fear of failure. I want to check out that book he references. Is this an article that can help you consider your Age project?

I've recently become obsessed with this website. In fact, it was my main reference for the majority of my Thanksgiving dishes this year. I love the elegance of the food, yet the retaliative simplicity as well. Most everything is extremely healthy and focused on a vegetarian and vegan diet. Another thing I love about this website is that under the "Resources" tab, it has a section on how to start a blog, which I no doubt will be using as I try to improve my own!

English to French, Italian, German & Spanish Dictionary - WordReference.com - 0 views

  •
Free online dictionaries - Spanish, French, Italian, German and more. Conjugations, audio pronunciations and forums for your questions. This website is really incredible. It has helped me with French so much. When I was trying to translate my letter from English to French, this tool made it so much easier to just look up a word that I needed to know! It even gives you the conjugations, tenses, and any other forms of the word that you could possibly need to know! I'd highly recommend this resource to anyone learning a language or anyone who just wants to know how to say something in a different language.

Music Theory Website: - 1 views

  •
Summarize: This is a music theory website which I used for a music composition course that I was taking. Common chord progressions was just one of the lessons from the website that I used. In this article that I used the main points were major and minor chord progressions. The purpose of this article is to show what chords most often progress from one chord to the next and the different chords that progress in a major vs. minor key. The theory website has many topics ranging from the basics: dotted rhythms to harder more complex things: cadences and neapolitan chords. They are all very nicely ordered and categorized if you have any specific things that you need to know about. Once you have selected a topic of interest a paragraph appears on the screen. There are two arrows at the bottom that allow the reader to read the page a sentence at a time along with the model that explains what you are reading. It is almost like a PowerPoint but you control the speed at which it moves. Review and access: This is a useful source, because the website explains everything in a clear and easy to understand way. There are pictures to guide your learning. When using other resources I find that they are hard to follow because of their advanced musical terms. Also, the models on other websites often go with one part of the paragraphs and not the other so it gets confusing. The information on this site is reliable, because we used it in class to learn some of the musical terms in each lesson. I would recommend anyone who wants, needs or just likes learning about music theory to use this website as a tool. Reflect: This source was super helpful for me and I accessed it many times throughout my composition course when I was confused on a certain topic, word or structure of song. This site helped me direct my learning because it is very organized and I could find the exact topic that I was looking for. You can use this source as a reference to terms or musical topics, or use it as notes

Scandinavian Moan- Acid Rain - 0 views

This site was and still is a very helpful site for me while I was completing my environmental project in global. It describes what acid rain is as well as how it effects environment. It also refers to the specific country of Sweden which is the county in which I was studying the impact of acid rain on the lakes and rivers. This sites was my most informational and gave me most of my data for the project.
