MOOCs have potential to reach out to the masses if rightly implemented. accessibility to technology at the learner end is a a major issue and it needs to be addressed first to make MOOCs relevant and sustainable.

The book that I share with you is a treasure, is so extraordinary that in it we can find information about universities with high academic prestige just like Stanford University. It covers topics of great interest and dynamism like, augmented reality, game-based learning and global knowledge among others.

I use TED talks both personally and professionally. This play list is a bit of both. I especially enjoy Andrew Stantons "The clues to a great story".

An interesting piece thinking about indigenous learning in a modern context.

Great tie in with the RIck Hill video in Module 1. Indigenous learning teaches us about the connectedness that stands in contrast to this MOOC even as we seek it in different forms through this sort of sharing and commenting and "liking."

Introduction Sophisticated knowledge of the natural world is not confined to science. Human societies all across the globe have developed rich sets of experiences and explanations relating to the environments they live in. These 'other knowledge systems' are today often referred to as traditional ecological knowledge or indigenous or local knowledge.

A great collection of thoughts, lists and posters that can be very helpful in teaching digital literacy and digital citizenship in the classroom. There are so many aspects of digital citizenship to consider and copyright is one of those things that I think many educators forget to discuss, but it's so very important to understand.

Digital citizenship is a very large topic and it encompasses so much, including digital literacy. Every day it is more and more important for people to develop critical lenses regarding what is digitally available. With so much out there, I think part of being a good digital citizen is to have a critical lens to filter all the information.

Indigenous knowledge is unique to a culture or society. It shows us how to connect and to sustain through the environment. This kind of knowledge is passed down to generation to generation. Back then our ancestors did not have Internet or computers to store or to share their ideas. Our ancestral knowledge is very fragile and can easily be lost. Knowledge is history and our roots, which are passed down from our ancestors to us and these knowledge should be kept and be preserved. New information is also valuable, but so is our past. Here is a site that helps us to learn about what Indigenous knowledge is and activities to help us how to preserve Indigenous knowledge.

It is a good idea. We should remember our indigenous knowledge and pass it down to following generations. People without past can not value the present. We shouldn't let these knowledge be destroyed by fast information on the internet.

This is a very good example of a community of practice site. It is useful for those in the community, and will be ven more useful if those who use it then contribute to its growth!

Colleges and universities aren't just teaching businesses about the value of technology, they're leading by example. We are now in a world with new media, such as Facebook, Twitter and so on. These tool spread knowledge and information. They help people to work more efficiently. However, on the other side. There are also some false information on the internet. Some people may deliberately post some information to hurt others. It will hurt people. So, we must teach people how to protect themselves from all those dangers. This is media literary. The article emphasizes on how to create such a literacy. Only with this literary, people can control the social media. As a result, they can create a participatory culture.
