Pepper has a wide collection from well known publishers. This is my go to choice for when it comes to ordering music for my program. You also have the ability to narrow your search down by grade level which makes it very easy when planning your program.

J. W. Pepper is an excellent website/resource for sheet music, accompaniment tracks, and much more. Their customer service is excellent. Many of the songs have a play feature so you can listen easily. You can search by genre, voicing, holiday, and pretty much any other category to find exactly the right song for your students.

Educators can point parents to this site to see what parents are doing in their local communities to support their children in music. Additionally, links are provided to resources/tools for students in their practice in aiding parents in encouraging their students to practice efficiently.

This website is the Chrome Music lab. There are activities to explore all the elements of music. Some of the activities are composition related. There are visual representations of sound as well. You need to use the Chrome browser for them to work. My students really enjoyed this site.

Each app is extremely easy to use and is beneficial in any general music setting.

This site is a fun way to get students to start listening for specific intervals! It is loaded with different song examples for each interval. This can help students develop their ear training skills.

Interval Song Chart Generator is a listing of intervals and includes various songs which represent the interval. Simply select a song for each descending and ascending interval. Videos accompany the example, however, you can easily make it into an aural example. Once you select your song choices, then you can generate your own list and print it out. You can even submit your own songs to the forum. This is a very useful resource for ear training and specifically helpful for choirs.

Opus Music has a great series of music worksheets suitable for general music and ensemble classes. The lessons are sequential and logical and provide clear descriptions of each topic in the lesson material before providing exercises for completion. The worksheets are available in downloadable PDF formats. These worksheets would also work well as substitute assignments if needed as a non-music teacher could figure out the directions.

The Opus Music website is a great resource for teachers looking for free printables. It is not a in-depth site, but instead offers a series of music theory worksheets, speed note name tests as well as flashcards and teacher printables for: business cards, lesson registration, lesson assignment and lesson billing. This site is geared towards a private studio teacher, but I have found the theory worksheets useful for beginning music students as well. All the material is free. There are also links to music teaching resources.

Fantastic supplemental online resource for any of the EE method books. It allows students to practice along with customized accompaniments. Teachers can create assignments and students submit them through this platform.

Essential Elements Interactive is a website that pairs with the Essential Elements string method book. On this site, students can play exercises from the book along with accompaniment, track their practice time, and view assignments as well as a class calendar. The teacher and parents can communicate easily through this site as well.

The link to the program Essential Elements Interactive, a software that allows students to practice with play along tracks at varying tempos with or without melody. Students can record themselves multiple times and submit their favorite to the teacher for evaluation.

This site has some great resources for ukulele and guitar learning in the classroom. These are free. The powerpoints are especially great because it is a step by step lesson to get students to play their instruments as quickly as possible (including little excerpts of songs in a different key). The rest of the site provides "easy" versions of popular songs for students to begin playing quickly. It was given to me in a conference session about using popular music to teach ukulele and guitar.

This is a great resource for all band directors to improve their ability as a music educator.

This website includes an incredible amount of information for music educators. There are interviews with top educators and conductors, live concert webcasts, and many videos and articles about the various instruments.

Saxophone.org is one of the most exhaustive saxophone sites on the internet. It includes the largest online museum of saxophones, mouthpieces, and vintage instrument publications. The forum on the site is one of the largest along with SaxontheWeb, and includes a buy/sell/trade section. Saxquest owns saxophone.org and I had the pleasure of working on the saxophone museum for a number of years.

This is the Dallas Symphony's kids page. They have great videos and resources about the instruments of the orchestra and composers. There are lesson plans available as well. This is probably geared more toward younger students.

The DSO page also provides multiple resources and links to other educational outlets for students in elementary school, as well as accompanying teacher resources and activities for their students.

A nice aspect of this site is that it provides information not only in the form of text, but also graphs and charts. This makes the information presented easy to comprehend for a larger audience. Teachers can use the informaion from these research studies and blogs to ensure that their music program is genuinely helping all of the students and to educate themselves on the importance of music education/its place in todays changing views on the arts as a core subject.

This website is filled with information about every song you can imagine. It also includes information about artists as well as some fun games and trivia concerning musicians. A top ten list of songs is given with further explanation about the music.

This resource could help create a relevant curriculum that speaks to the non-traditional music student's interests and their music experience.

This site, compiled of professional educators, aims to enhance creative music and movement by emphasizing the Orff approach to instruction, providing professional development to its members, and supporting the creative potential of learners. You must subscribe to the association in order to benefit from its classroom resources, scholarships, and publication. But it seems to be a great source of support for classroom music educators!

Some links are only accessible by AOSA members.

This site is aimed primarily for you parents. Browse different ways to download kid friendly music for your child. Jamendo Kids Music also lets you listen and preview an album before you buy it.

This site is something that most music educators today are familiar with; Finale. it provides a free download of Finale as well as blogs and training tutorials about how to use the program. The purpose of Finale is to all teachers (and students!) to create their own music. It can be anything from an original composition to an arrangement of a familiar song to a replica of something that has already been created. Not only does finale help build musical creativity, but it also teaches students about the basics of music notation. This site is a great source because it takes you step-by-step through downloading Finale, making it more user-friendly, especially for those that might not have as much experience with more recent music software.
