Children's Music by Nancy Stewart - Homemade Instruments - 0 views

For any of educators brave enough to tackle homeade instruments in class, this site is great for step-by-step instructions on how to do so. Here, you can find 8 homeade instruments to create with your music students. The istructions are fairy simple to follow. I attempted this once while making homeade maracas with foil paper and rice. The instruments were fun, but the project was very messy. Perhaps, I can give it a shot again using these simpler techniques!

Bulletin Boards for the Music Classroom - 0 views

  •
Great site for any music teacher! For those who have ever struggled with catchy bulletin board music themes, this site has a ton of kits to download and use all throughout the year. The themes range from seasons, to advocacy, to careers in music. Of course, they do not come for free. If you are willing to shed some cash, they are all around $6.00. Otherwise, if you can recreate them on your own, then that will save your pockets some stress! In any event, this will definitely be a bookmark for the ages!

This site is amazing!!! The purpose of this resource is to provide not only teachers, but parents, students, and kids the tools necessary to enhance musical learning. The musical content on this site includes but is not limited to history lessons, composer biographies and activities, instrument identification lessons, orchestral breakdown, a vast musical library, and tons of supporting pdf documents and sheet music for classroom/non-classroom instruction. It is a performing arts site, so you should also check out or pass along knowledge for french and dance educators as well!

This site, compiled of professional educators, aims to enhance creative music and movement by emphasizing the Orff approach to instruction, providing professional development to its members, and supporting the creative potential of learners. You must subscribe to the association in order to benefit from its classroom resources, scholarships, and publication. But it seems to be a great source of support for classroom music educators!
