This application can be used to create quizzes for students to participate in. I use kahoot for students to plug in answers for review games in my music history classes. I also use it as an anonymous ways to get polls done by the band.

This website is a great resource to brush up on how sound waves move and can be easily left for older students to read through. The site also offers ways to create music instruments and has discussion questions available.

This is a famous popular website and also app, that i use to teach my private students. This is a great way to practice reading music, ear training and knowing knowledge of different type of topics in music theory. This website and app has definitely made me a stronger musician through my undergraduate years. The purpose of this website is to provide practice of musical content, to help strength the mindset in many areas.

This is a website that offers free lessons, exercises and tools for the development of music theory knowledge and skill. 

NPR ( National Public Radio) is a media organization that finds artists, hold interviews of various artists while airing it on their podcast or creating live videos. The musicians are from all over the world, some are up and coming artists and some are already famous. Tiny Desk concerts also offer a contest for bands or artists to enter this competition which will help expose them. You can find NPR all over the place. They are on public radio stations from around the US, there are videos online and can be found at YouTube, as well as their podcasts that are accessible from any computer or phone.

This website provides information and interactive activities that focus on the study of sound. Activities include building a soundscape, exploring sound from around the world using an interactive map, and creating using a computer-generated sound mixer. The production of animal sounds and frequencies are also explored. A study of how animal sounds have influenced music and musicians is investigated.

These videos are created by Music Express magazine and each one deals with a different topic of music education. The videos have four main characters and are well-made and entertaining for students. The topics explored are basic general music concepts like steady beat, rests, high/middle/low and more. Each episode has a catchy song that students enjoy singing along to.

This can be used by any educator including music educators to create flashcards for their students and do a class review. This would be great for a music vocabulary quiz or something similar such as instrument families.

The San Francisco Symphony's purpose in creating this site was to compile a variety of interactive games and resources for kids to access and explore orchestral instrumentation and sound. There are engaging music activities for all ages and a calendar of events for live exploration and learning.

This site, compiled of professional educators, aims to enhance creative music and movement by emphasizing the Orff approach to instruction, providing professional development to its members, and supporting the creative potential of learners. You must subscribe to the association in order to benefit from its classroom resources, scholarships, and publication. But it seems to be a great source of support for classroom music educators!

The AOSA website is a resource for music educators. It provides information about the Orff-Schulwerk approach, advocacy, professional development, and teaching resources (lesson plans covering a variety of music content, videos, literature integration, and technology). Some links are only accessible by AOSA members.

The American Orff-Schulwerk Association provides a variety of resources for teachers and students to enhance their musical education. Here, students work together to create musical experiences through dance, movement, playing instruments, singing, and acting. Workshops and clinics can be attended to enhance knowledge and understanding in this area of music education.

This website is a great resource for K-5 music.  There are jokes, games, and information regarding famous composers, including recordings of famous pieces of music.  This can be used by a classroom of kids in a computer lab, or by a teacher for lesson planning.

Classics for Kids is a resources for teachers, parents, and children. The lesson plans (written by my former music education professor, Dr. Kay Edwards) are standards-based and incorporate elements of Orff, Kodaly, and Dalcroze.

Noteflight is web-based music notation software which allows you to create, view, print, and hear musical scores. Noteflight works on computers, tablets, or smartphones. Noteflight has a basic (free) level, and higher tiers of subscription levels for more functionality.

Download this program to arrange and create your own midi creations. You do not need a midi keyboard to use this. The computer keypad can be used to play the midi sounds.
