Auralia5 and Musition5 are very good soft wares for a music classroom. Auralia is for ear training, while Musition is for music theory. These softwares enhance a student's musicianship through very interesting activities of listening, composing, notating music, and sight reading/playing. A school has to purchase the software, though it is cloud based. The teacher adds students to different classes in the groups so that when assignments are set, they are easily submitted to the class where they belong. Teachers can create and assign worksheets, tests, and courses, and grade his/her students online as well. Tracking allows the teachers to run exams with high quality content that students love. Reports are also created in the software and parents can access their children's performance. Auralia and Musition are perfect for students of all ages and abilities. Auralia has a clean, easy to use interface designed to keep students focused on their essential ear training task.

Welcome to Opus Music Worksheets, a database of high quality, free printable music education resources for download, including free sheet music, music theory worksheets, music flashcards, music business forms, and many other free music learning resources for music teachers, music students, and parents.

Opus Music has a great series of music worksheets suitable for general music and ensemble classes. The lessons are sequential and logical and provide clear descriptions of each topic in the lesson material before providing exercises for completion. The worksheets are available in downloadable PDF formats. These worksheets would also work well as substitute assignments if needed as a non-music teacher could figure out the directions.

The Opus Music website is a great resource for teachers looking for free printables. It is not a in-depth site, but instead offers a series of music theory worksheets, speed note name tests as well as flashcards and teacher printables for: business cards, lesson registration, lesson assignment and lesson billing. This site is geared towards a private studio teacher, but I have found the theory worksheets useful for beginning music students as well. All the material is free. There are also links to music teaching resources.

On this site, students can play exercises from the book along with accompaniment, track their practice time, and view assignments as well as a class calendar. The teacher and parents can communicate easily through this site as well.

A great online resource for educators seeking a tool to help students gain fluency at sight reading music. This interactive tool allows for you to schedule assignments at customized levels as well a customized instrumentation.

Music Prodigy is a way to engage students in guided practice and specific assignments. Similar to SmartMusic, you can have students record segments or pieces for you and send them in for assessment or check off purposes. It's design is to save time and to encourage home practice with the use of their devices.
