The National Association for Music Education is a leading organization that addresses all aspects of music education. NAfME advocates for music and music educators at many local, state, and national levels and provides support for educators, administrators, and students. They offer a wide variety of professional development that help aide the music community in ways to advocate for music as well as improve the practice of music teaching. The group provides members with a plethora of articles and activities relating to music and instruction. 

NAfME is an organization that supports and advocates for all aspects of music education. Members have access to monthly magazines, as well as online journals. As a member we also can attend county and statewide workshops for music learning and professional development. It is great being part of an organization that seeks to reach out to all music educators and our students.

The website for the National Association for Music Ed, this site provides a plethora of information relating to the many different facets of music education. It provides links to websites, resources and tools for teaching, and valuable ideas for technology integration.

The ACDA website has resources and information for choral directors. You can access repertoire lists for all ages including adult ensembles, connect to the forum ChoralNet, sign up for conferences, read several journal articles that have been archived and search music jobs. Some of the content, such as the Choral Journal and Musica are only available to members.

ACDA is a nonprofit music-education organization, and this website helps share information contributed by choral directors from all over the United States. The association does require a membership. Once becoming a member, an educator can benefit from regional and national conferences, a choral journal that is shared physically through mail and digitally through their site. This organization has many committees that research and offer high quality resources, publication, and online communities.

Voice instructors, especially those just starting out, tend to have trouble finding places to take their students to showcase their talents. NATS is an organization designed specifically for that purpose. It provides information for their events, the opportunity to find vocal coaches, and vocal literature that would enhance any instructor's library.

HNU's Kodaly Center Collection is one of the music education websites that I frequent. This website allows the view to search through a vast collection of Kodaly songs to use in the classroom. These songs can be searched based upon grade level, type of song, origin and many more filters. Song types include dance and partner games, as well as call and response songs. There are songs in many different languages, some that may be familiar to students and some that would be brand new.

This is a collection of American Folk songs. The use of this would be to give a library of music for general music for elementary students to perform and practice. It would help fulfill many standards within the general music class.

This is a Kodaly folk song collection from Holy Names University. Users can search by element, grade, region, subject, and more.

This is a collection of 599 Folk Songs that can be used in the General Music Classroom. Each Song link contains rhythmic and melodic resources teachers can use to teach the song in class. Most of the links also contain recordings of the songs for the students to listen to.

This website from Smithsonian Jazz gives teachers resources for teaching jazz education to students.  There are free lesson plans and recordings for teachers to utilize.  In some instances, lesson plans are organized by age groups.
