Victoria's Secret is building its loyalty program with a new mobile photo sharing contest that rewards consumers with shopping sprees for snapping creative pictures. Victoria's Secret will then judge the entries based on creativity, photo quality, originality and consistency with the brand's image. Four winners will be chosen each week for a total of 16 winners. Each winner will receive a $500 shopping spree.

BizRate Insights: "Seventy percent of Pinterest users say they use the site to get shopping inspiration, and 43 percent say they use it to associate with brands/retailers. Only 17 percent of Facebook users look for buying inspiration on Facebook, and only 24 percent say they use Facebook to connect with companies they like."

The system works similarly to QR codes, but instead of scanning an item for more information you scan it to purchase it.
