Holy H%$#@ I had no idea they were even at 75%. Based on the survey that 40% of ALL current smartphone owners say that they're somewhat to very likely to get an iPhone 6 we could expect iPhone penetration to to be above 90% by the beginning of 2015

Geez, if this is true it would really impact the mobile UX experiences that people will expect.

That's more than the 6.57 million U.S. viewers who watched the "Treehouse of Horror" episode on TV."

Wow, potentially very disruptive in the sense that 6 pluses would become entertainment hubs, people may do more of "everything" on them. SHop, banking, work...what's the UX experience? Smartphone or tablet or something inbetween.

Not OTT or anything like that but a creative use of everyday mobile capabilities - maybe a similar effort can be rolled out for a client's campaign.

Kotaku has obtained an image of what it claims is the first "Made For iPhone" controller. Purportedly made by Logitech, the controller looks similar to the guidance images Apple released when it detailed the new iOS 7 controller API. It features what appears to be a circular D-pad, four action buttons, and a pause key. The guidance images also called for either two or four shoulder buttons to be included, but it's difficult to see from Kotaku's blurry image if the controller has any shoulder buttons at all, let alone how many.

Augmented reality game for kids!!!!!!

This week mobile developer Hudson Soft announced a new augmented reality game for iPhone, AR Monster. The game will not only support Aurora Feint's OpenFeint platform, but will feature monsters from the iPhone RPG Aurora Feint 3 in a content update.  AR Monster is a game where players use the iPhone camera to discover and battle monsters "hidden" in the real world environment. The game uses the iPhone's GPS system to populate real-world locations with virtual monsters from an initial library of over 600 creatures. Used in daily 6.21
