Twitter!! I have learned that Twitter is a great resource for teachers. It is very interesting that Twitter is utilized by more teachers than business professionals. It probably helps a lot of parents get into something new too.

I have experienced twitter use in the classroom numerous times through my experience during college. I think it is a great way to utilize social media in a safe way. Students can easily share information because they use twitter all the time. I think this website could be used by both teachers and students because they will need to know how to use twitter in the classroom. I defiantly want to use Twitter in my classroom in the future.

1. I can see myself using Twitter in my classroom in the future. I am still overcoming my hesitation to use social media in an educational setting...I think it is just going to take time and continued practice! :-) 2. The resource deals mostly with teacher use, but the tool could be used with teachers and students. 3. There are many different social media tools that could be used with students. The important part is selecting tools that are appropriate for the audience.

This article goes in depth about what educational technology truly is and how it can be properly integrated into the classroom.

Great info! I struggle with creativity as an adult and I can see the same thing in my littlest one. I love that they have so much technology available to them but can definitely see a difference in her ability to entertain herself. It's great that they included a why it's important section for each skill.

I will share this information with teachers at my building since it deals with integrating scratch (coding) across every subject. Specifically in my language arts and literature classes, this article provides a link to an interview with a English teacher who uses Scratch in his classroom. I want to do coding with my students and would like to try having my students do storytelling projects using Scratch.

The image with this selection immediately caught my attention and I would hope that it would do the same with my teachers. I would use this resources with teachers to help them see how scratch coding can relate to all content areas. I will also be using this article to check out the additional resources posted with each content group.

Steps and ideas to help teachers work with other teachers that are resistant to change.

This is a blogging community in which a person can follow groups or people. It can be used for an interactive discussion board between groups/students.

Explore, create, and collaborate with educators around the world to improve curriculum." OER contains access to many different educational resources that can be found on the web. You have the ability to search by subject, grade level, and standard(s). In addition, teachers can add resources to the "commons" through a resource builder, a lesson builder, or a module builder. While not all of the content on the site is spectacular, it definitely has potential!
