As Covid-19 is a way for the m-wallet to be more seen and used to prevent cash exchanges therefore preventing spreading germs. It then goes into the theories and hypothesis of m-wallet as a whole; the technology used. There was a total of 450 questionnaires and 413 responses for the data in whether using mobile wallet was efficient and the level of difficulty it holds. While in this day and age we all have the ability to use mobile wallet. I believe this change in Malaysia will attract tourism from Americans being able to use m-wallet. This will then limit the currency change and we will be able to use our phones for payments without having to exchange money and being able to be as contact-less as possible. Now, while I do not know what the effects of Covid-19 have been in Malaysia, if the mobile wallet is now their everyday use. I hope that their shift has started to work and is making progress.

The main disruption the mobile wallet is causing are challenges for smaller restaurants to remain competitive without offering mobile payment options. Larger franchises have easier access to funds necessary to make the switch while smaller operations struggle to fund needed technological upgrades. In addition to this, while many find offering mobile payment options to be a competitive advantage, this paper has shown that people rarely exclusively use mobile payment methods as most continue to also use physical cards and even cash. The other large emerging trend is tracking devices that can be implanted in phones or even loyalty cards that link to bank and credit card accounts replacing the traditional wallet. While other articles say there is no rush to cellphones replacing wallets just yet, hotels like Aloft are using RFID's in there loyalty cards eliminating the issue of room keys. Notice in all these trends that the face to face contact with guests that we hospitality students enjoy and train for is decreasing with every new technology.

I've always wondered why events as big as this one dont have recycling programs for the incredible amounts of wasted promotional items. This key-card management system links to heating, cooling and lighting system in guestroom with a monitoring in a slot besides door. In Europe and Asia, it has been demonstrated key-card management system is a successful system, that can save 20%-40% energy bill inside guest room. Although US hotels don't apply this system at beginning, now, more and more hotels has taken key-card management system. The hotel GM which taken this system said that is save a lot of energy bill after using this system.

It is known that many hotel guests are usually unaware or disinterested on how much energy they waste in their hotel room because they've already paid for the room. However, many of us are very conscious of how much energy we waste at home because we do in fact need to pay for that. So why don't we do it in hotel rooms? It comes down to convenience. When you're in a hotel, you don't worry about bills or energy or what harm you are doing to the environment or to the hotel's wallet because you are simply on vacation. However, key card management systems allow guests to save energy without the hassle of walking throughout the room turning off every light, faucet and air conditioning. Instead, saving energy is now as simple as leaving your room. With the key card management, energy management is in affect as soon as the guest pulls out the key card when leaving their room, and as easy as placing it back in the slot when they return. Older guests connecting to and understanding social media are a worry among many of the Board members as well as lack of standardized, secure payment methods. Major retail establishments such as McDonalds have signed on to promote and provide the necessary catalyst to make this technology mainstream. The benefits are very clear, with the increased transactional speeds promoting better customer service and also increased throughput at the retail counter. And this will also enable smaller companies enhance their profitability by utilizing such an easy purchase platform. How does this new tech work? Very simply, it users "near-field communication technology or NFC, which allows for the transfer of small amounts of data between two devices held closely to one another." Just tap your iPhone to the terminal and the transaction is complete. The concern for data security still exists, however "Industry experts will be watching as customers road-test Apple Pay."
