title: 10 Strengths to a happy marriage Author: unknown Date: 2010 Why relevant and summary: I really liked this article it was brief interesting and to the point. It is a reflection on a study conducted on more than 21,000 couples in all the United states and gives 10 easy tips on what to do to improve your marriage and also gives the top 10 reasons that cause problems for a marriage. I think it is an easy piece to read for everyone at every stage of their married life. How it changed my thinking: Most of the tips are common sense that everyone will agree to it but more than often we fail to follow; reading them kind of reinforces their message. Credibility of source: The website "first things first" is a non profit grass roots organization that came to be as a tool to help the residents of Hamilton county , Tennessee. Apparently they have a high divorce rate and other relationship and children rearing issues and this website offers advice, support and education on hoe to deal with family problems on a day to day basis. Dozens of books are written every year about the things that go wrong in marriage. Now one of America's foremost marriage researchers has evaluated the things that go right in marriage. David H. Olson, founder of Life Innovations and one of the creators of the Prepare/Enrich marriage enrichment tools, has surveyed 21,501 married couples in all 50 states to identify the top ten strengths of happy marriages.

Title: Importance of prenatal sound and music Author: Giselle E Whitwell Date Published: It doesn't say Why Relevant and Summary: This was an amazing article! It was talking about the sound decibel of conversations or music outside of the womb. She goes to talking about how a baby might respond when the mother is in a certain environment and sometimes, what the effects may be after birth. How This Influenced My Thinking: While some of this is common knowledge, I never really knew or understood the importance of sound and how detrimental it can be in later stages of childhood. Credibility of Source: It's posted on an Association of Prenatal and Health. I don't think they would give false information.

In chapter eight of our Human Development textbook we will be discussing adolescence and will go over theories surrounding morality, Kohlberg's Theory of Moral Development is one of them. This video gives a brief introduction to Kohlberg's research and professional career. It presents The Stages of Moral Development as well as recorded interviews illustrating the Heinz Dilemma experiment. How This Influenced My Thinking: I found this reference video supporting some of my theories surrounding moral development. However, as I was doing more research I realized how many variables were not being considered in Kohlberg's Theory of Moral Development. As I challenged Kohlberg's theory on its broader application I thought about what research methods could be used to provide supportive evidence. Credibility of Source: I have found additional reference material that supports the information provided in this video.

Title: Kohlberg's Theory of Moral Development Author: Kendra Cherry Date Published:n.d. Why Relevant and Summary:This article gave information on Kohlberg's theory of moral development. All three levels were mentioned and all six stages were discussed. Preconventional reasoning consists of stages one and two. Stage one is based on obedience and punishment.Children should obey the rules in order to avoid consequences of their actions. Stage two is based on individualism and exchange. The example given is of children arguing on which course of action is best, when it really only matters which one is best for you. Conventional reasoning consists of stages three and four and is based on conforming to someone else's needs of a role. Stage three is when a person lives up to social expectations of what people have of them. Conforming to what they see you as. Stage four is maintaining social order, society is viewed as one when making judgements such as maintaining the law and order. Postconventional consists of stages five and six and is based on independent judgements. Stage five is social and individual rights and stage six is our universal principles. How This Influenced My Thinking: This article had some great examples that made Kohlberg's theory a bit more clear for me to understand each stage and level. Credibility: I find this source to be credible.
