Pros and Cons of Campus learning vs Online Learning - 2 views

  •
Pros and Cons of Campus learning vs Online Learning To figure out which method suits you the best, offer each room instruction and on-line learning a attempt. Colleges typically provide associate orientation or demo of a web course to convey you a concept of what to expect. Eventually, you have to select the model that suits your purpose. There's no vogue that's excellent for one and every one. Teaching designs can persist adapting to student desires. http://elearningindustry.com/subjects/general/item/453-pros-and-cons-of-campus-learning-vs-online-learning

Trends in Learning Technologies to Watch in 2013 - 1 views

  •
Trends in Learning Technologies to Watch in 2013 Social/Informal Learning, Mobile Learning, Video - these three items have been "hot" for several years now, both in education and the corporate sector. Many are excited about them but the adoption of them has been slower than predicted. Barriers include cost, technology issues still not resolved, confusion about the differences between formal and informal learning, design factors, cultural factors, concerns about security, etc. http://elearningindustry.com/subjects/general/item/423-trends-learning-technologies-2013

Camtasia Studio for E-learning: Common Myths Exposed - 0 views

  •
One of the greatest struggles I see with Instructional Designers is trying decide which rapid authoring tool to purchase and spend their limited time learning. Generally, it's a choice between Articulate, Captivate and Camtasia Studio with Camtasia running a distant third (unless software demos make up the bulk of the training). In the past I would have agreed that Camtasia would not have been my first choice for true e-learning but with the two most recent releases of this software I've found it to be the perfect tool for not just software demos but also soft skills and compliance training. If you'd like to see some of the e-learning I've developed with Camtasia Studio over the past couple of years Please join me, Camtasia specialist Lon Naylor and Elearningindustry.com/ site founder Christopher Pappas on Sept 25th for a free Webinar called "Camtasia Studio 8 E-learning Case Studies". Please register here to join us. http://learncamtasia.com/eLearningIndustry/

Adopting Personalized Learning for Employee Training | EI Design - 0 views

We know that "one size does not fit all." Even in training, there is a demand to offer custom and more relevant content to learners (vis-a-vis a generic content). This mandate can be achieved by offering Personalized learning for employee training.

Simulations for Fun and Profit - 0 views

  •
Simulations for Fun and Profit by David A. Mallette, Instructional Systems Technologist NOTE: The video and simulation both require Flash and adequate bandwidth. As mentioned here, we have discontinued web distribution of our training in favor of local launch, server authenticated systems of our own design due to bandwidth and latency issues on the Internet that are not likely to be resolved for a long time. The video is compressed enough for 500kpbs or so throughput and the simulation will run in less. By the mid 90s, simulation was the place to be for those on the cutting edge of technical training. A variety of raster-based, multi-tasking computer platforms were available that could provide real-time, free-play simulations of complex machines. Whoops. I've probably lost a bunch of you right there at "raster." I'll explain.

E-learning in Italy needs to run - 0 views

E-learning in Italy needs to run... Which phase is e-learning experiencing? Wait. In Italy or in the World? Well, not exactly the same thing. However, we can evaluate both cases. We could start from the rest of the world, and then see where we're in common and where we step into the Stone Age. Or worse. The great nineteenth century philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer said that "All truth passes through three stages. First is ridiculed. Then meets a violent opposition. Finally, it is accepted as obvious." Arthur Schopenhauer Which phase is e-learning experiencing? Wait. In Italy or in the World? Well, not exactly the same thing. However, we can evaluate both cases. Tinkering with Tin-Can - 0 views

  •
The newest version of eLearning protocol is upon us - are you ready to take the the plunge? For those of you who don't know yet, the eLearning protocol SCORM is going through a massive make-over, specifically from SCORM v1.2/2004 to what is currently being labeled as Tin-Can API. The overhaul is so significant that it will likely reshape the way we record, track, and administer eLearning for years to come. Admittedly, this change will take some time to gain momentum, but with early adopters such as Articulate (and the less vocal Adobe Captivate) jumping on board, all the pieces are in place for this new standard to flourish. So what's so different about Tin-Can compared to the previous standards?
