    SpicyNodes is a website that allows users to create node-maps (similar to mind maps) through an interactive, multimedia platform. Creating a node-map requires users to engage in highly complex cognitive tasks as users must create a hierarchal order for the information they want to present. As a teaching tool, each node can be designed to include both pictures or videos and text to highlight content, consistent with Mayer's (2009) dual channel processing principle. Designed effectively, a node-map can be an effective learner-centered approach for presenting information as the concise format of a node naturally aligns with the "limited capacity" of working memory (Id.). As a learning tool, learners can use node-maps to organize their thinking and developing understanding of complex subjects. Creating a node-map requires the user to carefully consider the relationship and interconnectedness of information and to organize that information in a meaningful manner. Reference: Mayer, R. This allows them to delve more deeply into topics of interest. Each web quest has welcome, introduction, task, process, evaluation, and conclusion pages. With a Professional membership, users can copy and edit other user's web quests to personalize them for use in their classroom. Professional membership also allows access to other features, like the ability to embed additional pages, pre-test and post-test, rubric, quiz, map, and games. Using a web quest created by Zunal can help learners manage the information being presented. The evaluation page can be used to promote generative processing. This site is better than other similar sites because of all of the features available, including the ability to edit web quests made by other users and all of the pages that can be added into the web quest, like maps and games.

    This website is a hosting service that allows you to create pages, edit pages and collaborate with people. It provides a wonderful opportunity for students to create projects and get feedback from others. Documents, pictures, graphics and videos can be upload to the site. I chose this site because it was very user friendly with some Office features.

    Wikis/Wikispace is a website that allows groups, individuals, etc. to create web pages on their preferences. Members are invited to groups. Also the web pages can be public or private. Wikispace is a great website because I can create a page to upload a survey/questionnaire to determine the knowledge of the participants. Also A chat session/blog will be created so the learners can receive feedback on their questions.

    Wikispaces is an excellent platform for providing information to individuals and groups. I have used this resource for many years and prefer the simple layout and navigational tools. Information can be linked, downloaded and posted to provide synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities. Active discussions, or interactions can also be monitored.

    Assignment 3 Wikispaces provides sharing and feedback of pre-training requirements. The creation of a wiki for pre-training material promotes essential learning by allowing learners to engage with key elements of the workshop and build retention of fundamental skills. Mayer considers behavioral activity to be hands-on. Since this website will be used for hands -on activity, creating a wikispace, this website should be considered behavioral.

Wikispaces can promote generative processing by providing a space and opportunity for learners to integrate the content into an authentic product. It is better than other similar sites because it provides so many options and features for contributors, but it is still user friendly.

I love it because responses show up immediately on the screen, allowing the instructor to create a chart, or just show responses. This is a free web-based program for up to 30 responders.

In addition to text messaging, the designer can use a web address (if mobile devices are not convenient for the setting) to allow easy access.     Bubbl.us http://www.bubbl.us/ Bubbl.us is a free application that allows users to brainstorm and think online using colorful mind maps. While this application is a bit different from Webspiration the concept is the same. If you are looking for a very simple and easier to use program for younger students this might just be your answer! With just a hit on the enter key you can quickly and easily design and create spider mind maps. I believe that Bubbl.us is a website that can absolutely help learners think with more organization and it illustrates how connections can be made between information. Compared to Webspiration Bubbl.us seems a bit elementary to my likings for my high school students, but for someone who is working with the elementary crowd this would be perfect because there are not as many bells and whistles to this program. Even though students are still able to modify colors and change the location of the bubbles.

Throughout the presentation process, this tool will provide opportunities for the instructor and participants to design webs related to covered material. For instance, in my workshop, webs can be used to illustrate various teaching and learning strategies for each special education category visually. This tool could be used by workshop participants as they collaborate to create a brief presentation about a concept discussed in the workshop. The fact that this tool is so similar to PowerPoint was a big plus, in addition to the fact that, unlike PowerPoint, when the 280 Slide presentation is completed, it can be easily shared to the Web.
