This website is a great "substitution" for YouTube. There are a lot of inappropriate videos on YouTube, so I can see how using it would be really stressful for school teachers. SchoolTube is a grea...

This website is a very good resource for teachers. They can find almost any video to use as a visual component for their lessons. It is nice because it shows videos from sites such as youtube, as well as other video websites. Teachers would also be able to upload videos of their class to share with parents or other educators.

KidVideos.com - Videos for Kids, by Kids - 2 views

  •
KidVideos is like Youtube for kids. The contents of the videos are appropriate for kids with precreening and monitoring of comments. Children can watch videos in different categories and share their own online. There even contests on the website that the children can enter. Videos can be shared with the children's family. Children can have fun directing, acting, and producing their own videos and possibly creating their own show!

This is better than totlol because it's free :) Part of KidZui, I like the searching, browsing, and channel options. I'm not entirely sure how videos get in because you can 'report' videos, and they've definitely removed some videos because if you search for "sex" you'll find a bunch, and several have been removed. But, it's better than just letting a kid loose on youtube :)

I really loved this website! It would be great in a classroom because a teacher can easily find videos that are appropriate for his/her classroom. My favorite aspect would probably be how they set aside a videos specifically for Halloween! This would be really fun in a classroom around Halloween, and I bet they do it for more than just Halloween.

Totlol: Daddy, Mommy, More Video! - 2 views

Totlol is a site that caters movies to a younger audience that sites like Youtube tend to neglect. Users can upload videos and moderate each other's videos. The downside to this is that you must pay in order to have a membership, which is necessary to view the videos. Examples of the videos include videos of children's songs and stories.

Results Matter Video Series on Early Childhood Assessment - 18 views

Really appreciate how the video examples are provided both in a format to view on the Internet and that can be downloaded. Having downloads extends the ability to share the video clips in settings where there is no Internet. (can download to a laptop and share). Wishing others creating video examples would increase access to the use of their clips with a download option. Also appreciate that there are video examples in Spanish on Results Matter, and the promise of captioning. Several examples of using iPads with young children in classroom settings are provided.

This website has many videos for teachers. These videos are easy to share with multiple people.
  •
TeacherTube is a website for teachers and parents to visit to find videos on various topics. Users can search for video's based on subject and the video's are often rated on their quality.
  •
TeacherTube is a site for teachers to upload instructional videos for other teachers to view or for home learners. Members of this site are encouraged to make constructive comments, as if they were in a classroom listening to a lesson or in a meeting listening to a proposal. I thought it would be an effective way to use this website in a child-life setting. For instance, if a child was very ill and was contained to a hospital room, he/she could prevent from getting far behind in school by watching his lessons being taught online. This is a site I would recommend to all teachers, and the best part - it's free!

TokBox - Free Video Chat and Video Messaging - 4 views

Recently learned about this new web-based tool and have tried out the feature which makes it very easy to send a video message by email. I am also interested to test out the chat feature, which would allow a group of people to hold a videochat (up to 20, according to the website), to see how well this works. If it works well, it could be used in many ways, to support meetings and collaborative work.

Jimdo allows you to make a free webpage. The homepage includes an instructional video with a brief overview of website creation. Overall the website is very easy to navigate. Jimdo can be used to create a class or teacher webpage. Photos or videos of class activities can be uploaded onto the webpage as well. The table creation tool could allow the teacher to create a class schedule for parents to access online.

TotSpot | Baby Blog Website, Kids Online Scrapbook, Parent Community - 0 views

TotSpot integrates many aspects of technology together to create a Facebook-like network for parents and their child. The network is private and accessible to only account holders. Parents create an account then are able to add their children to the account on their own page. Pages can be shared through friend invite. The parents and children can upload pictures, videos, write journals, create developmental charts, and track milestones. Friends on the account can view items and make comments. With families living far apart and technology on the rise, families can keep track of their childrens' progress (even before birth!)
