QR codes are catching on! I think they have potential to be very powerful tool for bridging the gap between print and online text.  Great example of someone taking the idea and running with it. 

Quickly edit and add filters to images. 

Wiggio is an easy way to communicate and work in groups; provides group email, text, and voice messages, host web meetings, conference calls, and chatrooms; keep a shared calendar; store/edit files; poll the group; and keep track of group tasks. 

Interesting site that brings students together to study and do homework. If your student population has access might be an interesting tool to throw out there for collaboration. 

Nikon's small world competition and site is an amazing array of photos. Cool photos and even cooler scientific connections. Read about everything from snowflakes to cancer to microfibers to mosquito hearts. 

Quora is an interesting tool and it looks like it is getting some attention from the journalism community. On Quora, people ask and answer questions, harnessing the power of the internet and scale. 

Patrick Ledesma does a nice job outlining how you might give students more choice in developing projects that include technology. Choice doesn't mean do whatever, it means providing frameworks and allowing students the choice to figure out what works best for them to achieve the benchmarks that you lay out within given timeframes. 

A great timeline of the US-Russian Space Station. 

Online document collaboration tool that is very easy to get started. Great for use in combination with Skype for feedback and interaction. 

Interesting mapping tool. Allows students to make connections between facts using a mapping tool.

QR Codes and their potential uses in Ed.

Easy note taking site. Create an account, type in your notes simply and add new notes by hitting enter.  Site has a mobile friendly version for viewing notes. quicklyst.com/mobile that makes accessing the notes via a smartphone easy and quick. 

Not sure the purpose of this tool, but I like the images it pulls from flickr. Great way to grab cool pics and they are somehow tied to your tweets (not sure I get that part, but I like the idea).
