This website is absolutely FANTASTIC! I honestly have had a hard time fulfilling my role as a community member since moving to Eugene. A came here not knowing a single person and starting to attend community events is something I am really looking forward to doing. This really will help me further connect with the community. I also loved that the site did not just have one genre of arts to attend but a multitude of them as well as recreation. All combined together to help express and allow submergence into Eugene culture.

Description Our Urban Art, Food & Libations Walking Tour will take participants down alleyways, behind corners and thru one-way streets to view and learn about local urban art murals in the Midtown area of Sacramento. This is a fun event that my parents participate in coming up in my hometown! Enjoy good food and great art.

On Sunday, May 4, the Community Center for the Performing Arts hosts an Opening Reception for their exhibit "The Woodmen of the World: Their History and Their Hall" in celebration of Historic Preservation Month. The reception will include an exhibit talk and building tour led by historic preservation specialist Jon Pincus.

Thank you for share this performing art event! The webside is cool, there are also many other shows and events on the home page, most of them are music concerts and art shows. I really like this kind of events!

The UO's Arts and Administration is presenting the third annual (sub)Urban Projections presentation of digital arts, electronic music, modern dance, and installation art this Thursday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. at the Hult Center lobby in downtown Eugene. Experience art and performance that reimagines the main lobby, staircases, hallways, walls, ceilings, and spaces-in-between with presentations of thirteen works by artists and performers. The two-hour event will lead the audience through space and change the way that they think of the lobby spaces.

Annual Outdoor Quilt Show and Benefit for Strengthening Rural Families in Benton County - Live music, 80-110 quilts shown at Sweet Earth Vineyard in Monroe, Oregon (off hwy 99 halfway between U of O and OSU) Labor Day Weekend

I had no idea that there were events such as quilt showings! It really heightens my attention because I would love to go to an event such as this. It really reminds me that quilts really are pieces of arts. Not only in the way they are made but how they are displayed as well. It looked absolutely gorgeous looking at the pictures of the quilts hanging in the vineyard. This post and event really touches me personally because my grandmother loved to quilt and maybe I could be able to show one of her quilts one day adding my families culture and traditions to the world.

California's Country Music Festival. April 25-27, 2014 Stagecoach is a very well known country music festival that is actually taking place this weekend. I personally have always wanted to attend as I love country music, but my friends go every year and say it is a blast! I would highly recommend looking into this fun event if you also enjoy country music and entertaining festivals.

Stage Coach is a Country Music Festival located in Southern California. Thousands of people travel across the world to attend this event. Stage Coach is my favorite music festival. I have attended Stage Coach for the last five years this is the first year I'm not going. Stage Coach took place for the first time in 2007 and ever since then it has been an extremely popular event to attend to.

Burning Man is an annual event and a thriving year-round culture. The event takes place the week leading up to and including Labor Day, in Nevada's Black Rock Desert. The Burning Man organization (Black Rock City LLC) creates the infrastructure of Black Rock City, wherein attendees (or "participants") dedicate themselves to the spirit of community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance.

My chemistry teacher in high school goes to burning man every single year. One class period he dedicated the entire hour and a half class on telling us about burning man and showing us his pictures.

I would love to one day experience Burning Man! I have heard nothing but great things about other people's experiences about the music, art, and community it brings together.

The Hult Center for the Performing Arts is a performing arts venue in Eugene, Oregon that hosts more than 700 events and activities a year and acommodating local, national, and international art and performance groups. Located in the vibrant downtown community on Willamette Street between 6th & 7th Avenues, adjacent to the Hilton Eugene and Conference Center.

The Hult Center is a great organization! An event/concert called the, "Bohemian Dub Ball," showcasing art as well as music by RJD2, Medium Troy, Eskimo, and other local performers on May 10 will be held at the Hult Center! The event will have student and community involvement. A great way to enjoy a Saturday night and be exposed to a wide range of creative sectors.

May marks the return of our Concert Production Workshop series! This series will cover the ins and outs of putting on a live concert from both the venue and performer perspective. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about all that goes into putting on a live concert. From booking and promotion to production and band etiquette, these workshops will introduce you to the world of concert production taught by professionals in the field. Whether you are a musician or a fan, a casual observer or a college professor this will strive to give you a spectrum of knowledge for event planning and production as well as the occasional foray into abstract concepts of sound and light. We encourage both adults and youth age sixteen and up to participate. This is my absolute favorite place to spend time during the summer months! The Cuthbert has never disappointed me in terms of quality live music. The concerts are always reasonably priced and are decently regulated for the most part so families can attend. The atmosphere is unlike any other venue in Oregon and I highly recommend making a concert part of your summer agenda if you are living in Eugene this summer. "A beautiful concert venue with a capacity of 5,000, The Cuthbert Amphitheater offers everyone an opportunity to enjoy live music outdoors during spectacular Oregon summers. Located in Eugene, Oregon at the edge of Alton Baker Park near the University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium, The Cuthbert features superb sound, beer gardens, food booths and an environment perfect for enjoying superb music performed live by the best touring bands in the country."

The Willamette Valley Music Festival is an exciting annual event held on the UO campus during the ASUO Spring Street Faire. The festival is planned by student coordinators for the students of UO and the community at large. WVMF features three stages, live music and cultural workshops. Wampire After forming Wampire, Rocky Tinder and Eric Phipps steadily began to make a name for themselves in the same Portland, OR, scene that has produced labelmates STRFKR as well as Unknown Mortal Orchestra. It makes sense, then, that Wampire came to Polyvinyl's attention when the duo opened for STRFKR at a hometown Portland show and that UMO's bassist Jacob Portrait produced Wampire's debut full-length, Curiosity.

Emerald Art Association began in 1957 when a group of artists and art lovers took on the task of building an art league. Beginning under the auspices of the Willamalane Community Services, it soon became an independent entity. In 1974 this diligent group bought their own building at 421 A Street and shouldered the responsibility of owning real estate, while presenting fine art to the community and becoming a center for teaching and learning art.

Take Back the Night is a survivor-centered event that begins with a rally and march and ends with a speak-out, during which survivors of sexual assault and their allies can share personal stories of how sexual violence has impacted their lives.Come and support your friends, neighbors, community-members, and loved ones as we work to end sexual violence and celebrate the individual and collective strength of survivors.

Non-profit supporting art and cultural venues dedicated to increasing popular awareness of, and participation in, the arts of Oakland. My sister currently attends the University of California, Berkeley and says this is a really cool event! It is held on he first Friday of every month and is a great way to bring the Bay area community together through arts. There are also events held of Saturdays that are pretty cool to check out as well.
