This article talks about the issues that go along with the elderly trying to use computers. This article talks about how we should help the elderly learn how to use computers, and instruct them on the wonders of technology. This is more of a pro-help article, where some of the other articles are just condeming the fact that the senior citizens have trouble with computers, and they offer no way to help this issue. Overall this is a positive article which offers insight to the issue of senior citizens and their troubles with computers.

EBSCO. Web. 17 Nov. 2010. This article will be fantastic as a counter argument to my paper. Every good paper needs some form of argument against to make the argument for even stronger. The journal is a study based on 79 high school students. These students in years prior had completed a course that dealt with managing their finances. The study showed that these kids were no smarter, or held any knowledge that other students didn't regarding financial literacy and spending. I thought that this journal was great because it showed that it might not even be the education that lead to poor spending. Also the students who took the course even noted that they did not spend their money in the right ways.

American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, 6/1/2006, Vol. 63 Issue 11, p1048-1055, 8p A study done where patients who had a varied reading level below the sixth grade level, were asked to interpret the warning labels for the pill pescriptions. What they found out was that the correctness of the group, was from 0% to 78.7% on the warning labels. As expected there was a consistancy of the lower Literacy rates having a lower correctness rate as well.

Web. 18 Nov. 2010. The autism growth rate in normal classrooms has gone up about 5%, so teachers are now more straightforward with their literacy teachings. For autistic kids to develop literacy skills, they should be placed in classrooms with people of the same age. Studies have shown that students with autism who had been placed in a normal classroom at a young age have better communication and interaction skills with others. Having autistic children in normal classrooms has also pushed teachers into further analyzing their students, and pay more attention to assignments.

Research has found that oral language skills of autistic children are similar in their reading development. Teachers are trying to prepare children with ASD for standardized tests of literacy, and progress in higher levels of academics. Reading skills can improve their oral skills as well.

Youth exposure to alcohol advertising, the targeting of youth, morbidity, mortality, and statistics are all key points in this document. Dates, age groups, money and legal issues are all talked about in this paper and using these in my essay will certainly bring out more credible information to this side of the argument. This source talks almost every main issue that has to do with underage drinking and teenagers. It gives convincing evidence that alcohol ads are being aimed at a crowd who isnt legal to consume them, but it also questions the morality of doing this by giving facts about alcohol related deaths in minors.

The main concern of this article was to prohibit the playing of alcohol promoting commercials during college sporting games. As a government agency, it talks about their stance on the argument of commercials being geared towards minors and what information they have to support their claims. It also explains what issues are raised, what congress and the governmet is doing to stop this, as well as the problems that come with this particular issue.

This article talks about hoe technology today does not allow children to use their imaginations to the fullest. Children need to use their imaginations and they can do that through storytelling. When they make up stories and act out their favorite fantasy scenes, their imaginations grow.

This article focuses on the United States and the need to incorporate global education within a student's education. With domestic diversity within America and the constant flow of immigrants, gaining more insight about other cultures and ways of life is beneficial and essential when interacting with people from different backgrounds. Unfamiliar groups, cultures and languages can produce anxiety and hostility from those who don't understand or are ignorant to other cultures. This article offers several suggestions for teacher to go about incorporating global education into many different subjects.

The author explains the difference in energy intake, hydration and electrolyte levels. The author further explains the difference in types of athletes such as a weightlifter and an endurance athlete.

Articals teaches how music can be used as a "technology" towards health healing and recovery. Study was conducted on 22 people ages 34-65 with long term illnesses and diseases.

This article is about research that studied the nutritional knowledge of college athletes. Despite popular belief that college athletes are well aware of nutrition, this research indicates that the nutritional knowledge of college athletes is minimal. The research was conducted on student athletes at Southern university. The student athletes were tested on of current dietary recommendations, sources of nutrients, healthy food choices, and the relationship between diet and disease processes. The research showed that majority of athletes at Southern university had healthy attitudes about eating behaviors, however had little knowledge.

This article is about research that was conducted on 113 track athletes from two NCAA Division I schools. Each athlete took a questioner on nutritional knowledge. Thy found that the athletes scored high on carbohydrate, vitamins and minerals, and protein questions, while scoring low on vitamins E and C. Overall the mean diet score was 84 ± 10 (M ± SD) of 110 possible. In addition to this the research also looked at the college athletes died. They found high dietary intake scores in vitamins C and A, cholesterol, saturated fat, calcium, and magnesium. They found low mean dietary intake scores were found for vitamin E, fiber, sodium, and potassium

This article was about a study that was conducted on students from Herkimer County Community College. The study was a nutritional survey that was created to examine the nutritional knowledge and exercise habits of college students. In addition to this the study also took the students MBI before they took the exam. Majoirty of the 453 that students of that took survey failed to know basic knowledge of nutrition. In addition to this many of these students 40% of the students were overweight.

The survey examined the athletes supplement use, perceived efficacy of supplements, availability and use of nutrition services, and perceived nutrition knowledge of athletic trainers. The research was conducted on 236 athletes. The results showed that 88% used one or more nutritional supplements. In addition the survey all showed that majority of the athletes had nutritional class, brochures, and individual counseling available. Furthermore, 39.8% of the athletes were offered athletic trainers, 23.7% of athletes were offered strength and conditioning coaches, and 14.4% were offered dietitians . Overall this study showed that athletes are surrounded by a healthy and nutritional lifestyle.

This article is about children with autism developing language. Children with autism are typically at a lower level of language as opposed to children with PDD-NOS. Early language abilities are a sign of better language later on with children with autism. Some children with autism are nonverbal through the first two years. Different findings of speech with people with autism demonstrate a child's behavior skills, imitations of adult speech, and language skills.The SLP recommends the predicators to focus on supporting children with autism so they can learn how to speak.

One of the techniques used is POVM, which teaches children to maintain a conversation with a conversant. This study also helps improve vocal behavior, and eye contact. This practice has been shown to improve joint attention, self help, academic instruction, communication, and community survival. The use of these videos have also improved social skills in autistic people.
