Weirdness With my Private Bookmarks - 74 views

bug private public bookmark count

When I imported my Delicious bookmarks, I initially set them up as private. I just got done going through all of them (100 at a time) turning them to public. In the end, there were only 5 that I wanted to keep private.

When I click on the "private" tab, however; it says "1-100 of 150;" and shows the five I kept private.

Oddly enough, when I look at my "all" or "public" tabs, the one currently at the top is marked with a red asterisk. It's not one that I want to be private; nor does it show up in my "private" tab.

Does the red asterisk mean something besides "private?"

Is the "1-100 of 150" count in my "private" tab just an error in counting?

Are these thing possibly just caused by a delay in updating?

I like this idea a lot. Maybe a "recent activity" section on the dashboard?

Sometimes my goal is to just comment, other times I am hoping to start a conversation around that page. I am just clicking the comment link under the posted bookmark to leave my comment.

I'm confused. Doesn't Diigo already do this?

From your bookmarks page, you click on "Share" and then "Get Annotated Link…"

I'm new here, though; so maybe I'm missing something…

I would love it if, along with the regular link to a bookmarked site, items in the RSS feed included a link to diigo's cached version with my notes. Possibly a line at the end of the item that read something link "Read this page with [username's] annotation."

I know the comments, sticky notes, and highlights appear directly in the feed item; but I think providing the link would be useful so readers could see it in context (would also be a great way to promote the features of Diigo).
