"Looking at vintage ads is a good way to learn about a particular era and to compare eras as well. History teachers will be glad to hear that the website has a large selection of propaganda posters from the 1800's up to the 2000's but note that most of the posters after the 1940's are from Communist China. The U.S. Department of Education, Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and Education International (EI), the global federation of teacher unions, together with U.S.-based organizations-the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), Asia Society, the Council of Chief State School Officers(CCSSO), the National Education Association (NEA), and public broadcaster WNET-hosted the first International Summit on the Teaching Profession March 15-16, 2011, in New York.
