Accessibility Camp Missoula is dedicated to the simple premise that "digital inclusion" is fundamental in the digital age. Focused on users with different disabilities and abilities, Accessibility Camp Missoula 2013 sessions will cover digital accessibility topics from the website accessibility, assistive technologies in schools and universities, aging and technology to reading and publishing software accessibility, mobile apps, and everything in between. Regardless of your level of knowledge or the age of people served, come and participate. It will be a great opportunity for members of the usability, accessibility, other IT, education and disability communities to interact and learn from each other. Our goal is to raise awareness about accessibility related topics and issues in Montana. Accessibility Camp Missoula is the first step towards designing the accessible future. When:

School teams, comprised of teachers, administrators, counselors, specialists, academic coaches or anyone working with programming options for gifted students, will be presented with the OPI Framework for Gifted Education Programs and a Gifted Program Planning Template. This is a working session, at the end of which, the teams will have a firm grasp of the state framework and will use the template to construct a gifted program that fits their district and population. CADRE's Parent Dispute Resolution Showcase is the result of feedback from parent leaders on resources that would be most helpful to parent center staff, family members, parents and professionals as they prepare to participate in the full range of dispute resolution processes and practices. This easily searchable collection of resources contains a variety of items from policy and guidance documents to preparation materials, and from brochures and factsheets to website links containing webinars and videos. These materials address the expanding continuum of dispute resolution process and practices from early prevention approaches such as stakeholder training through collaborative processes such as mediation and IEP facilitation. The Showcase also includes items related to IDEA procedures such as Written State Complaints and Due Process Hearings. Open to all who work and live with preschool & elementary age children. A unique hands-on, highly participatory FUN workshop! Demonstrates sensory integration and sensory processing to enhance the environment by making it "sensory safe" for students, parents, and teachers.  Attendees will experience what it is like to have sensory challenges and learn how to use chair balls in classrooms and homes by participating during the hands-on lab work. The Sensory Tool Kit™ workshop reviews current research to support evidence-based practice and education. Diana will introduce the new Sensory Processing Measure (SPM) and Quick Tips®, promoting team collaboration and partnerships between schools and clinics.  Course Objectives

The need for this training arose from the 2006 adoption of Montana New Rule 1: Assignment of persons providing instruction of Braille to students in the state of Montana. Topics for this year's workshop will include: a presentation hands-on workshop with Jan Zollinger - Teaching Braille Literacy Through the Arts, braille practice and techniques will be explored. Salish Kootenai College (Montana) S299A 120078 The Transitions Project will provide interventions at two points in a child's life - prekindergarten and high school. The Transitions Project will be implemented on the Flathead Reservation in Montana. The preschool component will implement a three and four year old, culturally appropriate active learning High/Scope curriculum program to prepare them for successful entry into kindergarten. This project collaborates with a Bureau funded tribal school - Two Eagle River School, where the Transitions Secondary component will serve high school students to provide an intensive one-on-one college preparatory coaching program.
