The July 2014 edition of University Business includes the following article highlighting that many universities are beginning to implement electronic transcript capabilities to decrease costs and serve students more quickly. The article notes that Arizona State University is using e-transcript data for its Transfer Admission Guarantee program and uses Oracle's PeopleSoft, its student information system, to send automatic updates to community college students each semester to track progress toward an ASU degree.

Oracle already sells systems and services to the top 20 global retailers, including human resources software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems to compete with IBM, Salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM) and others."

The December 1 edition of Campus Technology includes the following article highlighting that Post University recently implemented the Oracle CRM On Demand Solution. The article notes that Post University generates a lot of prospective student interest electronically and will use Oracle's CRM solution to respond to those leads. The article notes that the school started seeing positive results within 30 days of implementing Oracle's CRM.

Highlighting that the Georgia Department of Administrative Services has implemented Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise applications, running on Oracle's Sun servers, to augment its supplier relationship management processes and procurement processes. The article notes that through Oracle PeopleSoft, the state was able to increase control by adding multiple approval levels and replace the paper-based, labor intensive process with an automated, electronic workflow, thereby enhancing the purchasing cards that many employees use.
