    Algo parecido comenta El País: "Google ha recibido ya más de 70.000 peticiones de internautas para retirar enlaces que les afectan en aplicación del derecho al olvido reconocido por el Tribunal de Justicia de la UE de y ha comenzado a enviar notificaciones a páginas web para informarles de que va a dejar de mostrar en sus resultados determinados enlaces. El pasado 30 de mayo publicó un formulario para que los usuarios europeos pudieran solicitar la eliminación de los resultados del buscador ligados a sus nombres. Según anunció entonces Google, cada petición sería analizada de forma individual. La británica BBC ha sido la primera en encontrarse con un aviso de Google, anunciando que dejará de indexar un post escrito en 2007 en el blog Peston Picks, del periodista Robert Peston, sobre un antiguo jefe de inversiones de Merrill Lynch. Lo que se quiere dar a conocer una realidad alternativa facilitada por la plataforma de revisión por pares abierto gratuito, libre y sugerir acciones concretas que ayuden al movimiento científico comunidad hacia un sistema de evaluación de conocimientos y el intercambio más abierto y eficiente que se divorcia de revisión por pares desde la publicación de revistas.

No cabe duda que el conocimiento abierto favorece la diseminación de todo tipo de información, Pero, precisamente por la gran cantidad de información disponible, se pierden los filtros necesarios de calidad y pueden hacer que nos despistemos en nuestro objetivo principal leyendo mucha "paja" y artículos de relleno que pueden rozar el auto-plagio. Pero, aún así, en general, es mejor tener esa información de libre acceso, y utilizar herramientas informáticas para realizar una primera selección burda de información y, más adelante, a la información que ha sido filtrada de esa manera, volver a filtrarla ya con conciencia propia por cada usuario, en función de las necesidades que tenga en cada momento y de lo que considere más o menos relevante para su investigación, inquietud, necesidad, etc.

    Cool!! It's so valuable to see behind the scenes of a lot of the open (or closed) tools we use. These images, maps, and infographics are really neat and use a lot of data that probably gets forgotten about in a lot of discussions. Thanks for posting!

    Atlas, publications, charts and tables of global information and internet geographies and impacts on information access, information production and information distribution, done over a four year period by Oxford Information Institute. Findings, data, and publication will be published in Open Access formats and platforms. The website is simple but contains lots of information relevant to the topics in Stanford. There are links to external related publications about information geography, access, distribution and production. Very good website. Some limitations include: bias from the two developers and producers as well as institution itself, unknown (not identified) contributors and sponsors.

    A very valuable collection demonstrating how economic, political, cultural and linguistic ties impact the flow of knowledge is and information. Of course, such charts do little to explain, why this happens and where a more even distribution of knowledge is desirable. Also, the data that lies behind the visualisations is not always open. Especially vauable are the links to the data collections that are accessible.
