    This video highlights ways in which educators (and parents) can incorporate 21st century skills in their lessons to digital natives. Admittedly, as a teacher, I get overwhelmed by all of the information out there and feel pressure to use technology that I'm still learning to be comfortable with. This is a good video that can show you how to get started, geared more towards middle/upper school.

    The video begins with 3 minutes of visuals and - very annoying - piano music. I would have turned it off after 30 seconds because I assumed that there would be 13 minutes of this. But since fraup74 says it was a good video I skipped ahead to see if there was more. Otherwise, I would not have persevered. In terms of content, it is a good basic resource (a woman speaks, using screenshots to show how to use online tools). The video is not very engaging.

    Hi there! Thank you for sharing this resource. I think that it is extremely helpful to have a list of websites and pictures that I can use with respect to copyright listed on one page. There have been many times when I need to quickly find an image to use for a project, and have gotten caught up in trying to find a picture with an appropriate copyright license. I also did not know that images created by government employees were copyright exempt, and I really enjoyed searching through some of those sites!

    It's not only the Creative Commons part that is important but the Public Domain (CC0) pictures, that can be used.

    Thanks for sharing! The list is very useful. But I'm not sure if it is actually "OK" for university students to use online sources (videos from YouTube, or images downloaded from Google) for academic purpose/ personal use when talking about "fair dealing".

    These are some cool 'motivational' videos about open education - certainly a valuable resource when talking about the subject.     A very large library of music for video and other projects. It appears that they are changing their model a bit but still offer free licenses for YouTube projects and some student projects. Other uses will have a fee associated. The quality of music is very high and I have used this site a good deal in the past for student work.
