New online library aims to 'equalise' science education - University World News - 6 views

  •
This is really a good initiative. One can only wish that African states finally realize that internet access is no longer a privilege but a right because without it such brilliant initiatives do not spread to all corners of the developing world.
  •
I like the "equalization" word, even if it seems to make it too simple, but it is also making it sound possible

The difficulties in opening science: Q&A with Michael Nielsen - 1 views

  •
In a timely and incisive talk at TEDxWaterloo, Michael Nielsen made the case for open science - the idea that research data and results should be freely available to the public, and that scientists should collaborate more freely with each other and with the public.
  •
I think the big theme that open science is profit and has the power of knowledge, many think that the knowledge open to all profit will not exist and the power of knowledge too!

Comunidad científica - 1 views

  •

BBC News - Instagram for doctors to be launched in Europe - 0 views

  •
A photo-sharing app enabling healthcare professionals to view patients' photos is to be launched across western Europe.
  •
Even though this app is surrounded by controversy I see it as the natural next step in healthcare. There is no reason why doctors should not be able to freely exchange information as long as the identity of the patients remains unknown.
