This website provides music reading reinforcement through the use of online flash cards. There are even two versions, in case you do not have access to Flash player.

This online game could be a great tool for young children to learn their notes. Notes move across the screen on a staff and the student click the correct key on the piano. Some previous piano skills would be required but would be reinforced in the game. Some other games for exists through this website that could be explored.

Children's Music Workshop is a resource site for parents to help reinforce proper practices for beginning instrument players. It provides tips for putting the horn together and tips on how to help children progress on their instruments.

This website is great for beginning musicians.  It provides instructional videos for the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, violin and cello.  It provides suggestions for the parents of these beginning musicians.  It is a great tool for music advocacy.

Music Learning Community is a site for music educators and music students that includes a great deal of information on computer-based learning. Included are games and activities that teach theory and build aural skills. There is a free trial but the site requires a membership fee.

This website offers hundreds of interactive games to teach students music theory, rhythms, ear-training, sight-reading, and notation analysis. Designed to make learning musical concepts and take-home assignments more fun and engaging, these games are broken down into various levels for students. Lower levels can be effective for early elementary students, and higher levels can be effective for students in high school. Games are colorful and entertaining, and they list certain scores that students should strive to achieve. Most games have a lesson version, a practice version, and a quiz version. Teachers can track scores and data of individual students to see strengths and weaknesses.

This website has many games that can be used to learn various musical concepts. Some games are free, but there are more games with the paid subscription. You can pay monthly or yearly and it can be used for 5 to 50 people.

This resource is very beneficial for the improvement of sight-reading skills. Users can choose different levels, keys, time signatures, and specific rhythms to help develop sight-reading proficiency. This is a valuable resource for both classroom and private music educators

The Sight Reading Factory generates excerpts of music based on parameters entered by the user. It is especially useful for practicing specific areas of music-reading skills (e.g. bass clef, odd-meters, difficult rhythms), or reinforcing general concepts of reading traditionally-notated music. While the site is good for the practice of mechanics, one might argue that robotically-created music is less useful for the development of musicality (or that computer-composed music isn't "music" at all). Excerpts can be generated for individuals singing or playing instruments, or for ensembles. There is also a section for solfege pattern practice. This resource creates sheet music excerpts for reading practice, without much regard to form or structure--it does not generate full works of literature for performance.

This website offers specific melodies created to assist students in learning Sight Reading skills. Paying for a membership would be beneficial in order to fully use the website, but not necessary to access activities for classroom use.

This site includes scale sheets, rhythm charts and bowing examples for orchestra students and teachers.  I have used this site with my school students and private students.

This string specific website has lots of great resources for working on different skill-sets. I particularly like this for the finger pattern exercises and rhythmic reading tunes. This helps to work on rhythm, intonation, sight-reading, and scale work.

This website is a comprehensive resource for string teachers which includes etudes, scale sheets, bowing resources, and more. Many resources are available for printing and sharing directly with students.

An online marketplace for teachers to buy and sell classroom resources. I have found many free and low cost worksheets, visuals and even lesson plans online. Resources include worksheets for pitch, rhythm, composers, specific songs, like the Star Spangled Banner and so much more. A valuable resource for a teacher who does not want to "recreate the wheel" OR who is creative and likes to "recreate the wheel" and earn a little cash doing it!

Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT), is a great resource for lesson plans, bulletin boards, and so much more! While most resources are free, some you do have to pay for.

This would be a great source for teachers who need the documentation for certain topics. This website provides every grade level, along with every subject being provided. There are lots of information on this source for free, and there are also many sources that are not free. But it depends on what you want or need. The purpose of this sources is to give teachers a wide range of things, that they may need in their classrooms.

The Rhythm Trainer is a simple flash-based game that reinforces rhythm concepts. Students can either enter the rhythm that they hear, or choose the correct audio that matches the rhythm they see. Each example is four beats long, and there are a limited number of rhythms available. Students can select any or all of the 8 rhythms available to practice. Results can be emailed to the student's teacher.

The Rhythm trainer is another great source for helping students learn the principles of ear training. Teachers can load listening examples of varying rhythmic figures which students can respond to picking the examples they think best fit. Students can choose two modes of rhythm training which either provide them with choices for answers or require them build their answers based on the specific rhythms they are being trained on. The Rhythm Trainer does require the use Adobe Flash Player in order to play the examples but can be great for anyone teaching or learning the very basics developing good ear training skills.

This is a great tool to have to teach students rhythm. I use this to teach my private students to strengthen their ability to read rhythm. They find this website quite fun, and they enjoy all of the practices in which assign.

Isle of Tune is music sequencer where users build compositions visually using houses, roads, plants and cars. Can be used to reinforce a range of musical concepts.

Isle of Tune is a website (and app for iOS) that allows students to create an island with sound producing plants, houses, and other objects. As cars drive on the island, a melody or beat is produced based on where the objects are located and what these objects are. Isle of Tune allows users to compose in a non-traditional manner using a fun, interactive interface

PBS Kids has a ton of music games great for use with the early elementary level. These games are great to reinforce concepts being taught in the general elementary classroom.

This site has a wide variety of music games for young children. Children can learn about different instruments, create their own digital instrument and play music with and sing along with popular cartoon characters.

Several games that relate to elementary music learning that kids will love to play. These games are perfect as a time filler, or as part of a lesson. These games are best for young (K5-1) students.

Kahoot! is an online/cloud-based program that allows users to create multiple-choice quizzes that are played on electronic devices (cell phones, iPads, etc.).

Kahoot is an awesome website where you can create quizzes for your students. You can also access kahoot quizzes made by others. Students can login from their device and play the game/quiz in your classroom. They can also login at home for practice/homework.

This is a great site for making games for students. The games can be of anything you want. I have used it to reinforce rhythms, theory, and notation. It can be used for so much more.

This website lists a large assortment of music education games that cover aural training, composers, compositions, instruments, notation, and symbols/vocabulary. "Ultimate List" is an accurate title! This looks like a compilation of several games from several websites all pulled into one. This is fantastic.

This website is a great resource for band students to better understand note names, fingerings, and musical terms.  It is structured as a flash card game.  Students are racing to get all answers correct and into the Top 50.  If students answer incorrectly, the correct answer is shown to help students learn the correct answer. Students must answer all questions correctly in a certain time to move on to the next level.

This website is speed game for reinforcing terms, note names, or fingerings for students. It can be specialized to different instruments and has an option for teachers to keep track of scores by school.

Music racer is a tool to help users practice their note names and/or fingerings. Users select which instrument they would like to practice, and are given eight questions per round. Scoring is based on both speed and accuracy.
