This is a really great local event called Art and Algorithms. It's purpose is to provide a great connection between the arts and mathematics, science, and technology. It teaches our students how to embrace the entire STEAM curriculum, and helps them make those connections in a wonderful cross-curricular event.

Sight Reading Factory is a great resource for all musicians looking to better their sigh treading ability. It develops a random sight reading exercise for all instruments and is something that can be worked on at an individual level or through a school subscription. Quick set-up and easy to use!

I have always found it difficult to make my warm-up something that the students take seriously, and improve from. This is the PDF of Larry Clark's clinic at Midwest 2014. It discusses a variety of different tools to help make warm-up something that the ensemble excels at, rather than a waste of time. Also includes a great graphic for the Circle of 4ths / 5ths.

This is another invaluable resource of Public Domain compositions for the Band World. So many of the old marches and waltzes are out of print and difficult to come by, but this website has an extensive list of great works that are all public domain. A great resource not only for finding pieces to play, but also for doing some traditional score study.

Naxos is a Music Library full of wonderful recordings of music. It is the largest classical music publisher for CD's and has a variety of current recordings of new music as well as many old favorites. This is a must have resources for schools and other music professionals.

IMSLP is a great resource for finding music to study, or doing research about composers, orchestras, compositions, etc. My students have to do a research paper each semester, and this is their primary reference for the assignment. A great, educational tool.

A great resource from the NY Philharmonic. Being able to see the notes that all the great conductors have made on the scores, and embrace the history of this orchestra has been a lot of fun. Also helps a lot with score study and analysis of some of the major works for orchestra.

This is a really great blog with some helpful hints for music teachers. From organization, to lesson plans, to unit plans there's lots to be seen on this blog.

This is a really great resource app for music educators and students. In class, I use the tuner, the metronome, and the tone generator functions. My students love it because it makes playing in tune a little more fun, and most importantly, it is very user friendly.
